There’s a conspiracy theory that the Bolshevik Revolution was actually a Jewish revolution against the Russians. The parallel
conspiracy theory for Turkey is that the ‘Young Turks’ were actually crypto-Jews (which explains why Ataturk was so vehemently against the symbols of Islam). The theory extends to state that the Armenian genocide was actually a
Jewish genocide against the Armenians, based on a traditional hatred of the Armenians. If all this is true, why then does the modern Turkish state, particularly now with a government of Muslims, not acknowledge the fact of the Armenian genocide, and move on. More particularly, I might expect to see Turkish writers expound on the conspiracy (although they would still have to be careful, as impugning the Young Turks is still considered to be treason).
