A commentator pointed to one of the lies I was referring to (this is a remarkably thin example, the kind of thing that should never have been written, e.g., 'Some fifteen years ago I was told in a private meeting with a well-informed Washington insider' - yikes!). Beware the bullshit! Another lie from which you should run screaming is when you read anybody writing about Yemen play up the 'al Qaeda' angle. Whenever you see 'al Qaeda' in a Yemen piece replace it by 'leprechauns' - it will make more sense, and be more accurate.
