Killing civilians has been State policy in Israel since 1948

Using all of its self-restraint, the mad dog somehow may have managed not to slaughter anybody this time, but its pride prevented it from doing the right thing.

It must have been difficult to see innocent civilians and not kill them (at least, I'm hoping that is the case). "Paolo Barnard – Israel's Policy of Killing Civilians":
"Killing civilians has been State policy in Israel since 1948 (and, prior to that, of Zionism). It’s not about “tragic mistakes”, there’s no “deep regret for the incident”. Killing civilians is what Israel has founded itself on with the ethnic cleansing of Palestine and this is what allows it to live."
Israel kills innocent civilians because that's what mad dogs do. You can't explain it; you can't change its ways. When will we collectively decide to put the mad dog down?
