American financial reform: "On a flat trading day, financial firms shares rose 2.7% after the deal was announced."

You can be so stupid that you are unaware of the fact that you are stupid. Explains much.

Organized hate in the Czech Republic: "Burned girl a symbol of Roma hate and hope"

"Sacco and Vanzetti in Ottawa: How Media and Police are Politicizing the RBC Arson Case" This case is odd all over - the target and place (about the least likely place for a 'terrorist' attack in the world), the age of the accused, the lack of a coherent motive, the initial confidence of the police in quick arrests, the fact that the vehicle used was rented in the name of one of the accused (who talked to the press before being arrested, and proclaimed his innocence) . . .

Easier to use links on the O'Keefe BBC interview. O'Keefe is - the Jews have a word for it - a mensch. It is nice to know that amidst the muck of toadying pansies and mindless bullies there are still some real heroes around.

How fucked is the American mainstream media? Some guy at the Washington Post gets fired for clearly off-the-record musings improperly publicized by some mischief-maker (even better, he's a moderate conservative posing as a liberal investigating the wildest of mainstream American conservatism). At the same time, mainstream 'journalists' criticize a reporter writing about clearly on-the-record musings of an important general - real newsworthy stuff - all on the basis of the fact that in the sausage making of journalism telling the truth loses you access to sources. After allowing that admission to slip out, they cover it up and pretend it didn't happen!
