Thinking ahead (the post-Rupert blues)

As much as he should spend the rest of his life in a jail cell next to that of his father, you have to give James Murdoch a little respect. The right-wingers have all kinds of predictable theories about how the oldish story of various criminal wrongdoings by the Murdoch empire has come back to life, but you have to wonder if the real target is James and not Rupert:
"Advocates for Israel expressed distress yesterday at the report of James Murodch's stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. "Certainly, it's troubling," a spokesman for the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, Alexander Safian, said. "It's a little upsetting to hear that perhaps a son who might eventually have a lot of power is not favorably inclined towards Israel.""
