In some places there is weeping

"Democratic platform: The tide of war is receding":
"The 2012 Democratic National Platform, released Monday night ahead of the Democratic National Convention, argues that the United States is on the rise in terms of power and influence around the world due to President Barack Obama's foreign policy and that the decade of war that followed 9/11 is now coming to a close."
I'm sure this isn't actually true, but it sends a message that the United States isn't just an unlimited fountain of free organized violence a certain group can call on whenever its own failings require another war.

It is hilarious that the Democrats say that al-Qaeda is 'on the path to defeat' (p 56 of the pdf), while the CIA, under Barry's express orders, is simultaneously funding and arming it against the people of Syria.
