Provocations

"Ukraine SITREP - May 4nd, 22:29 UTC/Zulu" (Saker).  The Ukrainians are still just posturing.  It is difficult to contemplate fighting a war against an opponent who can instantly cut off a large part of your energy supply.  Therefore, the plan must be to continue to provoke, short of war, hoping to trick Putin into overreacting.  Putin knows this, and thus does nothing, knowing that time is his friend.

Added:  This kind of story is starting to appear from the western presstitutes, but it appears to be a propagandized version of the very little that is actually happening:  "Heavy fighting breaks out as Ukrainian troops intensify efforts to retain control"

"Provocation: Murky forces instigating Odessa violence?"

"Side deals with Moscow thwart drive to wean Europe off Russian gas" (my emphasis in red):
"Austrian energy firm OMV agreed last week with Russia's state-controlled Gazprom to bring the South Stream pipeline to Austria's Baumgarten gas hub, outmaneuvering Italy which had wanted it to end there."
"'Kremlin regrets approval of punitive operation in southeast of Ukraine - Putin spokesman'"
