Bikowsky and Casey

"The Inside Information That Could Have Stopped 9/11":
"Because Casey remains undercover at the CIA, Rossini does not name her in his unfinished manuscript. But he wrote, “When I confronted this person...she told me that ‘this was not a matter for the FBI. The next al-Qaeda attack is going to happen in Southeast Asia and their visas for America are just a diversion. You are not to tell the FBI about it. When and if we want the FBI to know about it, we will.’”"

"The Agent:  Did the C.I.A. stop an F.B.I. detective from preventing 9/11?" by Lawrence Wright (from 2006)

This wasn't inadvertence or a mistake, but a calculated effort by the CIA to keep the information from the FBI.  The CIA spin is that this was an error of judgment by junior, inexperienced analysts who were trying to recruit Khalid Almihdhar.  Of course, he and Nawaf Al-Hamzi had attended the infamous al Qaeda meeting in Malaysia where we have to assume the idea of flying planes into buildings was discussed (an idea that Condi Rice had to later lie about in denying the Bush Administration had any idea that such a scenario was being considered by al Qaeda - see "Fratto: ‘No One Could Have Anticipated’ Terrorists Flying Planes Into Buildings Before 9/11", "Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US", and "Phoenix Memo").  We have to leave open the possibility that it was the CIA that introduced the idea to the Malaysia meeting through its asset Almihdhar.

"Michael Anne Casey CIA bin Laden Hunter"

"Profile: Michael Anne Casey"  Note that Casey outright lied about having informed the FBI.  Note also that this lie was before September 11 (leaving open the possibility that this was a rogue operation within the CIA), and after September 11 (as part of the cover-up, which by that time may have been sanctioned CIA lying to cover up the existence of the rogue operation!).

How the names of the two CIA perps leaked out:  "Chief of CIA's 'Global Jihad Unit' Revealed Online"

"Meet Alfreda Bikowsky, the Senior Officer at the Center of the CIA’s Torture Scandals"

"The intelligence community’s meritocracy in action"  It is curious that Bikowsky is analyzed as an anomaly, someone with terrible judgment, leading to terrible consequences, who nonetheless climbed up the CIA ladder to the top.  Just the opposite is true.  She has been regarded highly by the CIA as she did exactly as she was supposed to do - at no doubt great cost to her mortal soul, assuming she has one - by clearing the way for 9/11 to occur.  Obviously, if you are running an operation to have planes take down the World Trade Center, giving the FBI enough information to stop the operation would not have been good for the plans of the CIA/neocons/Bush Administration.

"Malaysia's forgotten, forgiven 9/11 history"  Riduan Isamuddin, Walid bin Attash, and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (or whoever they have identified with that name) are all at Guantanamo (which makes closing Guantanamo problematic, as all these guys have to be prevented, at all costs, from ever talking to the media).
