One of the ways the Americans will fight Iraq is by trying to enlist the help of the Kurds, presumably through some sort of promise of a Kurdish state (although the Kurds have been betrayed by the U. S. a number of times). This will inevitably lead to ideas of a greater Kurdistan, which would encompass much of eastern Turkey. Much of the proposed Baku-Midyat pipeline goes through eastern Turkey. Once the Kurds realize that the Americans have fooled them once again, I can see them attempting to sabotage the Baku-Midyat pipeline. This would in turn lead to the Americans wanting to install military 'advisors' in eastern Turkey to protect the investment of their oil companies, causing the moderates in Turkey to lose control to the fundamentalists, and another country will be ruined by U. S. geopolitics.
