Diverting Kay's men

Dozens of the American intelligence experts and linguists sent to Iraq to search for the mythical weapons of mass destruction have been reassigned to investigate the insurgents attacking United States troops. So the effort to continue the search for David Kay's weapons was so vitally important it was worth spending $600 million on it, but as soon as they got back to Iraq many of the searchers were diverted to another task. Do you get the feeling that the American people have been played for fools here?
