Collective psychopathy

FAIR points to Thomas Friedman's express endorsement of what FAIR chooses to call 'terrorism' - what I would call 'collective punishment', as it avoids Bibi's 'war on terror' while making clear the sheer illegality of what Friedman is endorsing - on the pages of the New York Times. As Glenn Greenwald phrases it (in one of the Updates he adds in response to the psychopathic - i.e., Jewish - comments he receives):
". . . is it even possible to imagine an Op-Ed or column being published by a major newspaper that enthusiastically trumpeted all of the great strategic benefits that would accrue to Muslims from the violent deaths of large numbers of Israeli civilians, the way Friedman today did with regard to the deaths of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians?"

Another advantage of the slaughter - perhaps the most important in the long run - is that it has made it abundantly clear that the root cause of the problems in the Middle East is the extremist racist psychopathic supremacism of the Jewish people, so transparently reflected in the comments of a Jew like Friedman when a little pressure is applied, in this case the pressure of a few complaints about the magnitude and illegality of the Jewish slaughtering. It is this incurable - at least in the short run, but we do not have time to wait for future generations - collective psychopathy that is the real reason that the world must eliminate the Jewish State of Israel, and replace it with a state ruled by Palestinians. Of course, Jews could still live in a Palestinian state if they wanted to, but their collective psychopathic supremacism will mean that the vast majority would not choose to live under Gentile rule.

Is it possible that one aim of the massacre has been to promote anti-Jewish sentiment in Western countries, thereby creating insecurity among their Jewish populations and encouraging them to emigrate to Palestine? Mass killings or no mass killings, OP is running short of Jews, while its Palestinian population is rising steadily.

I have an off-topic professional question to you. Do you use, or recommend some specialized software for organizing your translation projects?

I hope to transcribe and translate some 15th Century manuscripts in High Old German soon. Since I doubt any computer programme might understand German paleography, I'm not looking for translation software per se, only for the management of complex translation projects.

I was just wondering if there are some software that might do organizational tricks good ol' Word cannot.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

There's going to soon be 1.5 million vacancies in Gaza, so, yes, somebody has to fill the void.

hmmm, interesting concept, let them die at birth:

“If we seriously want to avoid another generation of war in Gaza, we must have the courage to tell the Gazans that they will have to start looking after their children themselves, without UNRWA’s help. This would force Palestinians to focus on building an economy instead of freeing them up to wage war. Of course, every baby lured into the world by our money up to now would still have our assistance. If we make this urgently needed reform, then by at least 2025 many boys in Gaza — like in Algeria — would enter puberty as only sons. They would be able to look forward to a more secure future in a less violent society… ”

Among others, the typical habitats of unalloyed scoundrel like Heinsohn are: US 'think-tanks', 'international crime syndicates', Israeli Hasbara centers and German institutions funded by the tax-payer.

In Germany you see the bizarre effects of adverse selection where the scum raises to the top.

You might be right about Jewish Supremacism, but the question is, why Israel gets away with all those crimes, even in countries where there is not such a strong Jewish lobby as in the US.

Here is an Icelandic perspective on it:
Why do western powers support Israel´s crimes?

Why has the western world for 60 years supported the atrocities of Israel against their neighbours?
Maybe in order to protect the western elite´s interest-based fractional reserve money system from the dangerous influence the good example of a more rational non-interest-based money system promoted by Islamic law would have on it...
...when the government tried to save the Icelandic economy from certain collapse, this was the moment, when Iceland, together with Landsbanki and the Icelandic central bank were set on the list of “terrorism supporting countries and terrorist organisations” by the British government. Others on this list are Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran.
Icelandic assets where frozen abroad and the country was for a whole months completely cut off from the international trading markets, neither exports not imports by Icelandic could be paid for. This financial siege ended only when Iceland conceded to the financial control of the IMF and to take over the debts made be the private banks onto the Icelandic...
The series of events, which led to Iceland having ended up on the “supporters of terrorism” list, makes it quite clear what “terrorism” and the “war against terrorism” is all about. It has nothing whatsoever to do with any acts of violence performed or supported by the countries or organisations on this list, instead those people and countries are considered “terrorists or supporters of terrorism” whose protective actions are considered to go against the interests of the largest western banking corporations and their main share-holders.public.

all paragraphs lifted from brian cloughley at counterpunch:

Mr Kucinich put the whole case for their vote when he said

"In Gaza, the United Nations gave the Israeli army the coordinates of a UN school, and the school was then hit by Israeli tank fire, killing about 40. The UN put flags on emergency vehicles, coordinating the movements of those vehicles with the Israeli military, and the vehicles came under attack, killing emergency workers. The Israeli army evacuated 100 Palestinians to shelter, and then bombed the shelter, killing 30 people."

"A year ago Hillary Clinton told the American Israeli Committee that "we stand with Israel because of our shared values and our shared belief in the dignity of men and women and the right to live without fear or oppression."

Last June Barack Obama told the American Israeli Committee "Now is the time to be vigilant in facing down every foe, just as we move forward in seeking a future of peace for the children of Israel, and for all children. Now is the time to stand by Israel . . ."

Xenophile, I don't use any special software to organize my translation projects, so there's nothing I can suggest. You might try looking here
for potentially useful ideas.

Best of luck with the project, which sounds interesting. Are you planning to translate your OHG documents into English?

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the reply, trad.

No, at first I'll transcribe the docs from hand-written Old High German and Latin, then eventually into Contemporary High German.

The documents, about 250 ff., date from the 13th to the 15th century, that is, before Gutemberg's invention. They have some genealogical and historical interest for the political history of northern germany of the period. I do not plan to translate them into English because professional historians can read the originals. This is after all just a project of personal interest.

Rowan, Xymph,
On Browser problems,I use 3 browsers, and played with a few more. In my opinion, Opera beats all the others hands down as far as speed and convenience is concerned. Costs nothing to try it. [Runing on Linux Opensuse 11.0.]

Xeno, Trad,
I can't imagine why anyone would touch Windows or Word. LateX is obviously helpful (the best?) for presentation purposes, but what is especially interesting is a front-end program called LyX ( I think). LyX has quite amazing ways to generate keyboard shortcuts, so, when I am writing math Ctrl a + l gives me a perfectly formatted line integral. This mechanism could just as well be adapted to generate any characters available in Unicode. I believe you can put LateX and LyX on Windows, but perhaps with a little trouble. Linux puts everything at your fingertips at no cost. Creating wordlists should be no trouble, and LyX will create and update perfectly formatted pdfs of your work on the fly. I hope that that turns out to be useful. If so Xeno, I should very much like to see some of your work; AHD is such a distant memory for me.

Speaking of the unspeakable Thomas L. Friedman,
The peculiar genius of Thomas L. Friedman.
By Matt Taibbi
"Thomas Friedman does not get these things right even by accident. It's not that he occasionally screws up and fails to make his metaphors and images agree. It's that he always screws it up. He has an anti-ear, and it's absolutely infallible; he is a Joyce or a Flaubert in reverse, incapable of rendering even the smallest details without genius. The difference between Friedman and an ordinary bad writer is that an ordinary bad writer will, say, call some businessman a shark and have him say some tired, uninspired piece of dialogue: Friedman will have him spout it. And that's guaranteed, every single time. He never misses."
