Question:  If the Jews are using the Fed to blackmail the American government into fighting Wars For The Jews, why can't they force the Americans to attack Iran?  Answer:  The Jewish blackmail is to cut off the supply of money, thus causing total economic collapse.  Since the attack on Iran would also cause total economic collapse, the blackmail doesn't work.

"Did Nixon have a gay affair with a Mafia fixer? Forget Watergate. A new book claims America's most corrupt President hid a far more personal scandal..."

"Has one of America's most enduring mysteries been solved? Book claims Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa was buried in cement at General Motors' HQ"  A man who is buried in a lot of places.

"Theresa Ann Bier":
"Theresa Ann Bier of Fresno has not been seen since she and Russell "Skip" Welch, 43, reportedly became separated in the mountains after they had gone to look for Sasquatch, the legendary creature also known as Bigfoot. Welch was charged with abducting Theresa but the charge was later dismissed. Welch, a self-proclaimed student of Bigfoot, went camping with the girl in June near Shuteye Peak, about 25 miles northeast of Bass Lake, and was questioned by deputies when he returned without her. Welch's explanation was that Bigfoot had abducted her. Foul play is suspected."

Perhaps the all-time winner in promoting an alternative theory of the crime.

The electable independent party candidate

"Does anyone seriously believe Ron Paul is closer to the median voter than Barack Obama?"  Me.  I like Instaputz, but Barry's the guy slowly turning up the heat on the frogs in the water in the pot on the stove.  I believe a coalition of Republicans, anti-war independent voters, and fed up Democrats, all voting for a very flawed candidate - but one who breaks the Jewish/Military Industrial Complex fatal stranglehold on the United States - can beat Obama (and save the country).  In an odd way, Ron Paul is the electable independent party candidate that everybody keeps talking about but nobody can find.  Of course, if he gets the Republican nomination somebody will shoot him.

Niqnaq on Petras' politically correct version of 'anti-Semitism' (my emphasis in red):
"I have been re-reading this, and I am not really happy with Petras’ analysis. Here is a representative quotation:
There is no crime, however terrible and perverse, that Israel commits that will not be supported by the respectable professors, investment bankers, journalists, surgeons, policy advisers, real estate moguls, lawyers, schoolteachers, and other ordinary folk who make up the activist base of the Major Organisations (i.e. the 52 components of CPMAJO).
Now what is wrong with this? What is wrong with it is that it systematically and explicitly presents the nonsensical theory that a bunch of middle-class nerds can set US mid-East policy simply because of their Jewish commitment. Petras has already established that 60% of Democrat and 35% of Republican party funding comes from Jewish sources. But even this is not really enough to hit the nail on the head: what neither Petras nor anyone else except me, at least on the so-called ‘Left’, has dared to say is that any US government is existentially dependent on the Jewish bankers of the ‘Fed’ to keep printing worthless money to keep the country and its wars afloat. From his occasional references to ‘the economic crisis’, one could infer that Petras sees the Jewishness of the banking elite as quite unrelated to the problem of the US’ hysterical, totalitarian support for ‘Israel’. I on the other hand consider the ‘economic crisis’ to have been deliberately induced in order to establish totalitarian Jewish control over any prospective US governments, whatever their politics might be. I think Petras shows how a respectable Leftist can create what looks like a revelatory advanced position on the topic without actually moving a single inch closer to the solution (Petras is a university professor)."
The traditional right-wing attacks on the Federal Reserve are nonsense, but this conspiracy theory makes perfect sense.  Couple it with the fact that the Fed has intentionally managed the current crisis into an utter disaster in order to massively enrich the 1% (at the expense of actually fixing the problems), and I think it is time for a hanging party.  Without a hanging party, the United States, and much of the rest of the world, is doomed, and Ron Paul is the only guy who even knows what rope looks like.  Note how his isolationism and attacks on the Federal Reserve are connected.

The isolationist

"Statement from fmr. Ron Paul staffer on Newsletters, Anti-Semitism" by Eric Dondero.  This comes across as scrupulously fair, especially given the concluding paragraphs which show the author broke with Paul over his isolationism (my emphasis in red):
"It’s his foreign policy that’s the problem; not so much some stupid and whacky things on race and gays he may have said or written in the past.
Ron Paul is most assuredly an isolationist. He denies this charge vociferously. But I can tell you straight out, I had countless arguments/discussions with him over his personal views. For example, he strenuously does not believe the United States had any business getting involved in fighting Hitler in WWII. He expressed to me countless times, that “saving the Jews,” was absolutely none of our business. When pressed, he often times brings up conspiracy theories like FDR knew about the attacks of Pearl Harbor weeks before hand, or that WWII was just “blowback,” for Woodrow Wilson’s foreign policy errors, and such.
I would challenge him, like for example, what about the instances of German U-boats attacking U.S. ships, or even landing on the coast of North Carolina or Long Island, NY. He’d finally concede that that and only that was reason enough to counter-attack against the Nazis, not any humanitarian causes like preventing the Holocaust.
There is much more information I could give you on the sheer lunacy of his foreign policy views. Let me just concentrate on one in specific. And I will state this with absolute certainty:
Ron Paul was opposed to the War in Afghanistan, and to any military reaction to the attacks of 9/11.
He did not want to vote for the resolution. He immediately stated to us staffers, me in particular, that Bush/Cheney were going to use the attacks as a precursor for “invading” Iraq. He engaged in conspiracy theories including perhaps the attacks were coordinated with the CIA, and that the Bush administration might have known about the attacks ahead of time. He expressed no sympathies whatsoever for those who died on 9/11, and pretty much forbade us staffers from engaging in any sort of memorial expressions, or openly asserting pro-military statements in support of the Bush administration.
On the eve of the vote, Ron Paul was still telling us staffers that he was planning to vote “No,” on the resolution, and to be prepared for a seriously negative reaction in the District. Jackie Gloor and I, along with quiet nods of agreement from the other staffers in the District, declared our intentions to Tom Lizardo, our Chief of Staff, and to each other, that if Ron voted No, we would immediately resign.
Ron was “under the spell” of left-anarchist and Lew Rockwell associate Joe Becker at the time, who was our legislative director. Norm Singleton, another Lew Rockwell fanatic agreed with Joe. All other staffers were against Ron, Joe and Norm on this, including Lizardo. At the very last minute Ron switched his stance and voted “Yay,” much to the great relief of Jackie and I. He never explained why, but I strongly suspected that he realized it would have been political suicide; that staunchly conservative Victoria would revolt, and the Republicans there would ensure that he would not receive the nomination for the seat in 2002. Also, as much as I like to think that it was my yelling and screaming at Ron, that I would publicly resign if he voted “No,” I suspect it had a lot more to do with Jackie’s threat, for she WAS Victoria. And if Jackie bolted, all of the Victoria conservatives would immediately turn on Ron, and it wouldn’t be pretty.
If you take anything from this lengthy statement, I would hope that it is this final story about the Afghanistan vote, that the liberal media chooses to completely ignore, because it doesn’t fit their template, is what you will report.
If Ron Paul should be slammed for anything, it’s not some silly remarks he’s made in the past in his Newsletters. It’s over his simply outrageously horrendous views on foreign policy, Israel, and national security for the United States. His near No vote on Afghanistan. That is the big scandal. And that is what should be given 100 times more attention from the liberal media, than this Newsletter deal."
After reading that, how could any decent and moral American not vote for Ron Paul?

"Why America Can’t Afford Its Military"  Makes perfect sense until you read this:
"Predictably, there is also a growing recognition that the million dollars a year it costs to keep one American soldier or Marine on station in Afghanistan makes no sense when, for a fraction of the cost, the U.S. Army and other federal agencies could easily protect America’s borders from the wave of criminality, terrorism and illegal immigration washing in from Mexico and Latin America."
So he's just another nut worried about the "wave of criminality, terrorism and illegal immigration washing in from Mexico and Latin America" who thinks that the US Army would make a swell police force on American soil.

"Chavez: U.S. May Be Behind Leaders’ Cancer":
"'Fidel always tells me, ‘Chavez be careful, they’ve developed technology, be careful with what you eat, they could stick you with a small needle,’' the Venezuelan leader said today. 'In any case, I’m not accusing anyone, I’m just using my freedoms to reflect and issue comments on very strange events that are hard to explain.'"
Americans will snark at this, but we know for a fact that the CIA did attempt such things to kill Fidel.

"Roth and Weiss on What's Best for The Jews"   The professional left - those who make a salary by pretending to be progressive - will keep telling us that Ron Paul is unacceptable as he sorta hangs out with white supremacists, yet the clear racial supremacism of the Jews - you know, the supremacism with violent, horribly destructive effects in the real world today - is fine.  Why the distinction?  Ah, but they'll say, white supremacism is a whole nother thing, as the white supremacists control all the institutions of power. Are they perhaps living in 1964?  Look around you.  It is not the hillbillies who are running the banks, the universities, the media, the governments.  The real problem isn't the violent supremacism, it is our complete insensitivity to real power relations.

Progressive Paul

"Why Ron Paul Should Win Primaries"

"The Empire Attacks Ron Paul"

The 'progressive' sites are starting to attack Paul with a fury.  He scares the shit out of them, as he is the only Republican candidate that can hand Obama a big loss.  A coalition of Republicans, independents, and anti-war/anti-Israel (anti-war and anti-Israel are exactly the same thing, and much, much, much more popular than the Jew-controlled media would have you believe, but have never had anyone to vote for!) Democrats would flatten Barry like a steam roller.

On issues outside of war, the war on drugs, and Israel, Paul's views are appalling.  However, as President, his nutty ideas are just ideas.  He can do little or nothing about them.  He can and would block all Wars For The Jews, the wars that are killing so many people and wrecking the United States.  For that reason alone, he is the obvious - and only - progressive choice.

It is telling that the 'progressives for carpet-bombing' and the Republican establishment both oppose Paul because he might win.  Perhaps they should just form a united front and call themselves the War Party.

They're baaaaaack

My video driver has been acting up, and I've been in the malls, which explains the lack of posting.  Speaking of the malls . . .

"WHEN WILL AMERICA WAKE UP TO THAT FACT THAT ISRAELIS ARE SCREWING HER?"

"Canada: Israelis arrested for illegal work"

"Alleged illegal workers caught in Ottawa, Gatineau"

"15 Israelis arrested in Gatineau"

"Accused ringleader of illegal workers in court"

"Illegal workers told to leave Canada this weekend"

"Suspected illegal workers arrested in Halifax" - note the stress on the exploitation of the poor workers (haven't they suffered enough?).

"Immigration sweep leads to 11th arrest in Halifax"

"Illegal Israeli Sales Agents (?) Arrested In Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada"

Two cells, one in Halifax - lots of NATO activity - and one in Gatineau, presumably ripping off/spying on Ottawa.

As far as I can tell, this has not been reported in any Jew-controlled media in Canada, just by the 'anti-Semites' at the CBC and the independent Chronicle Herald, and by the Swedish-owned Metro free papers.  Considering the control Tel Aviv has over Harper, the arrests must have been a slip-up, part of the big anti-immigrant PR operation the Conservatives are working on (appealing to their 'base').  Someone forgot to tell the Immigration thugs that illegal Israeli immigrants are off-limits.

I had seen the heating pad booths, but didn't think anything of them except for noticing it was quite the rip-off (I used to see the booths selling junk like foam paper airplanes which were set up at local country fairs, presumably to steal dairy cow genetics, which is big around here).   I note that I saw a heating pad booth after the arrests, so the rip off/intelligence operation is still running.

This combination of rip-off consumer sales operations (door-to-door art dealers, moving companies, locksmiths, and now heating pads) and espionage operations is unique to Israel.  From time to time gangs of pickpockets visit Canada from South America, and are always clearly identified by the media by which country they come from.  The Jews carefully protect their own when the criminal gangs are from Israel, and are also spies, so the gangs are never identified, and can continue to attack Canadians.

Joie de Juif

They should just prohibit Palestinians from participating in everything, and be done with it:
  1. "Swiss museum cancels competition after prize-sponsor Lacoste rejects Palestinian artist";
  2. "UPDATE! Musée de L’Elysée suspends prize because Sansour barred as ”too pro-Palestinian”"; and
  3. are you as surprised as I am at the real reason:  "Owner of Lacoste, which censored Palestinian artist, is major donor to Israel, Zionist causes"?
It is not 'joie de vivre' they are worried about.

Breivik knows what the crocodile/alligator/gargoyle - or whatever the hell it is - means:  "Stop Anders Breivik wearing our clothes, Lacoste reportedly ask police".  So if you don't want to be identified as an Islamophobe, you know what not to wear.

Some good conspiracies today

"This Is What The Government Told Gizmodo About Osama Bin Laden’s Body"  So either the US government took no records of bin Laden's body, or they are outright lying on a Freedom of Information Act request.  Of course, if bin Laden was taken alive to the American helicopter which promptly blew up, they wouldn't have any photos of bin Laden's body.  No need for a burial at sea, so no photos of it either.

"How Maliki and Iran Outsmarted the US on Troop Withdrawal"  I don't understand the 'outsmarted' part.  All the Iraqis did was remain steadfast in their insistence that the Americans leave.  Other countries should take note.

"Spoils of Iraq war evade US and UK"  Ha! War For The Jews, bitches!

"The Phantom Time Hypothesis"  My favorite conspiracy theory.  The response - with a list of supposedly outrageous conspiracy theories which embarrasses the writer and utterly wrecks his credibility - that the theory is Eurocentric and fails to take into account parallel time lines elsewhere, seems to miss the point.  No one is arguing that the time disappeared.  The argument is that the European time line was intentionally messed up.  Other time lines are irrelevant.  Unless you can come up with a Chinese traveller in Europe at the relevant time, whose own trip could be dated using the Chinese timeline, the existence of a consistent Chinese timeline - itself debatable - has nothing to do with the missing Dark Ages thesis.  With respect to Mohammed, you have to recalibrate the relevant dates based on the new European calendar.  Islam still had all the time it needed to spread.

"America.gov, Cognitive Infiltration, and Obama appointee Cass Sunstein"  The official American government position is that the conspiracy involved in the death of JFK, a conspiracy endorsed by a Senate committee, is a myth.

Asshole public intellectuals are dropping like flies.  Slavoj Žižek better watch out for lightning bolts.

Bless their tiny black hearts, but the folks at Debka are hinting that the anti-Semitic organization known as the CIA is helping its pals in the Iranian government.  One can only hope.

Greenwald is generally excellent, but he is Jewish, and thus incapable of telling the truth about certain key issues.  You have to read all Jewish writers, even the best ones, assuming they will lie about issues touching Jewish supremacism and the building of Anti-Assimilation Land.  They may have the best will in the world, but sadly, they just can't help themselves.

Sausage making news:  "Treasure Hunters' Lobbyists Rebuffed".  Very occasionally, the bad guys lose, but note the secret ways of lobbyists in making legislation.

"Cameron sacks 'foolish' MP who joined 'Hitler, Hitler, Hitler' stag party...as it is revealed that he was the one who hired groom's Nazi uniform"  I think it is hilarious that he tried to save himself by writing a long letter of apology to The Jewish Chronicle and planning a visit to the theme park at Auschwitz.  Of course, there were British victims of Hitler, but who gives a fuck.

"Israel is incapable of taking on the settlers"  The concentration camp guard and Finkelstein are indistinguishable on the magically disappearing settler issue.

"In blow to Israel, French BDS activists acquitted of crime in calling for boycott"  The latest Zionist trick is to use the courts to suppress objections to the Jewish land theft/murder program.

"A Beginner’s Guide to the European Debt Crisis"  The Europeans are being fed the same big lie that was used on the Americans - the big banks are too big to fail and austerity falling on normal human beings is the only thing that can save the big banks, with the whole mess made worse by the fatally contagious nature of the world-wide web of derivatives.

"Debt Slavery – Why It Destroyed Rome, Why It Will Destroy Us Unless It’s Stopped":  "A basic mathematical as well as political principle is at work: Debts that can’t be paid, won’t be."

Despite the fact that sanctioning the Iranian central bank will cause oil prices to rise for ordinary Americans, and add further damage to the delicate state of the American economy, the American Congress remains completely under ZOG, and looks out for the Jewish Lobby before considering the interests of American voters.

"Israeli Jewish hate rally against Africans in Tel Aviv caught on video as Haaretz deletes article about it"  The English version of Haaretz is an integral part of the public face of Zionism presented to non-Jews.

"What happened to the Rothschild Chardins?"  Smells like a fraudulent insurance or reparations claim.

"A word on wine on Wednesday: Fucks@rkozy.com"

The internet - Reddit? -  is relentless with the screen shots.

Some deaths are worth celebrating

It is funny that the monster Hitchens died at the same time that the monstrous war he called for came to an end.  With all the things he wrote, the only thing he will be remembered for is that he was a neocon hanger-on.  Pathetic.

By the way, remember how the attack on Iraq was supposed to be all about oil?  Oh, and then when that didn't make any sense, it became all about all those American military bases.  The Americans left all those bases behind.  It was a War For The Jews.  That is all it was.  Don't let the Jews bullshit you, especially when the bullshit is to fool you into yet another War For The Jews.

"NATO’s Lost Drone Had Its GPS System Hacked By Iranian Engineers"  The leak of this story leads me to think that the infiltration was much worse than that.

"The Military and Those Strange Threats to Obama"  He's doing exactly what they want, but they are setting up a trail of 'carelessness' that might be useful to explain a future slip-up should he ever decide, for once, to do the right thing.

Angry Arab on the Hezbollah drug bank story:  "Hizbullah in the New York Times: drugs and car salesman" and "Lebanese Canadian Bank and Hizbullah".  The story is written in the purest Judy Miller style.

"The "New Anti-Semitism" Smear Is Getting Old"  It has taken far too long, and cost too many lives and too much wealth, but the Number One trick of the Jews is finally starting to wear out.  Though I caution that this is a lite Zionist story floated, in part, to make you think the Jews can be trusted to solve their own problems.

"A Revolution Against Resistance?"  Syrian opposition leader announces that he, and the country he plans to lead, are 100% Jewslaves.  No, make that 110%.

Lebanese-style pizza

Rather pathetic attempt at revenge for the Hezbollah counterintelligence work against the CIA:  "Beirut Bank Seen as a Hub of Hezbollah’s Financing"

"The Hizbullah Drug Money Plot Makes No Sense"

"The no nonsense guide to the CIA in Lebanon!"  With the names of people who will be working in Virginia for the rest of their careers, perhaps delivering pizza (ask for extra drones).

Lebanese-style pizza is what you get around here, probably because all the pizza joints are owned by Lebanese.  It is not very good.  That may be why the CIA met at Pizza Hut.

"Iran shows intercepted CIA drone unscathed"  It would be most impressive if Iran managed this through computer hacking (which would explain why normal fail-safe destruction of the drone didn't occur).  The Jewish message taken from this incident, to paraphrase only slightly:  Jews have to slaughter innocent, completely non-threatening gentiles - once again - as the Americans are pussies.

Are the Jews nuts?

It is simple.  Either Iran has a program to develop a nuclear weapon, or it doesn't.  If it does, here's Leon Panetta answering Kenneth Pollack's question about a military attack on Iran (my emphasis in red):
"Part of the problem here is the concern that at best, I think – talking to my friends – the indication is that at best it might postpone it maybe one, possibly two years.  It depends on the ability to truly get the targets that they’re after.  Frankly, some of those targets are very difficult to get at.

That kind of, that kind of shot would only, I think, ultimately not destroy their ability to produce an atomic weapon, but simply delay it – number one.  Of greater concern to me are the unintended consequences, which would be that ultimately it would have a backlash and the regime that is weak now, a regime that is isolated would suddenly be able to reestablish itself, suddenly be able to get support in the region, and suddenly instead of being isolated would get the greater support in a region that right now views it as a pariah.

Thirdly, the United States would obviously be blamed and we could possibly be the target of retaliation from Iran, striking our ships, striking our military bases.  Fourthly – there are economic consequences to that attack – severe economic consequences that could impact a very fragile economy in Europe and a fragile economy here in the United States.

And lastly I think that the consequence could be that we would have an escalation that would take place that would not only involve many lives, but I think could consume the Middle East in a confrontation and a conflict that we would regret.

So we have to be careful about the unintended consequences of that kind of an attack. "
If Iran doesn't have such a program - and it almost certainly does not, as both the Americans and the Jews know - then Zionist military aggression would be the best way to force the Iranians to start and accelerate such a program.  In other words, one way or the other, Zionist plans seem to be the best possible way to ensure that Iran has a nuclear bomb.

Are the Jews nuts?  Without a doubt.  We always have to remember that 'Iran talk' has nothing to do with Iran, and everything to do with the pressing need of a fascist military dictatorship to be in wars or talk about wars.  Israel can't manage this attack by itself, and they can't trick the Americans into doing it for them.  Panetta buried the reference to economic consequences, but that is the key (and separates, definitively, a War For The Jews against Iran from every other of the many Wars For The Jews, each one utterly ruinous to the United States, but not economically deadly).

The Jews find themselves in a bit of a pickle.  They need to fight wars or talk about fighting wars in order to survive, but can find no wars to fight.  All the talk of wars is frightening Jews with IQs over a 100 to leave (explaining the bizarre and panicky campaign to convince American Jews to head for Israel where they and their families can eventually die under Hezbollah rockets - they left that part out).  Israel is fucked (lucky for everybody else).  'Iran talk' is just a symptom.

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

I have to say I'm enjoying the American government's series of lies concerning their missing drone:  "CIA, NATO Lied to Press About Lost Drone".  The Washington Post did its usual outstanding job at retyping the CIA's blather.  The first two comments to the retyping job, by 'MarkThomason':
"The head fake is aimed at us, the American electorate. The Iranians know. We are the ones being lied to."
and:
"To clarify, the Iranians know what they have. They know how they got it. That is what all of the head fake was about--only things the Iranians already knew, by definition--what they had and what they did to get it. "
"Israel Stole Uranium from U.S., Report Will Show" Old story, but topical given the American government's obsession with somebody's Middle East nuclear program:
"Smith said the question of whether highly enriched uranium was diverted from Numec to Israel is all the more relevant now in view of current U.S. efforts to halt Iran’s nuclear program.

“Why are we looking at nuclear weapons? Probably the biggest question that’s being asked in this town [Washington] right now is whether to get even more heavily involved in trying to suppress Iran’s nuclear program. And we think it’s extremely valuable to get the truth out about U.S. collaboration, intentional or not, in Israel’s program,” Smith said.
"
"Resilience of the Syrian regime" Also, you don't risk your life for a chance at a much worse outcome. Libya, and even perhaps Egypt, are models of the probable future which everyone in Syria can see.

I'm wondering if an outside attack on Syria - a country which, unlike all recent victims of American aggression, can defend itself - is just what Assad needs to pull his country back together against a common enemy.

Drone intelligence

Damage control:  "Downed UAV Technology Already Dated"  No wonder they keep slaughtering innocent civilians in Afghanistan and Pakistan based on drone intelligence.

The Tablet, which used to be reasonable, seems to be moving to becoming an ultra-right supremacist rag.  Hiring the concentration camp guard, then getting a minor 'libertarian' - managing editor of Vice magazine!; classy! - to do a drive-by slurring of a moral and decent man.  Shameful.

"Former CIA Director's Death Raises Questions, Divides Family"  Funny way to kill yourself - which explains why suicide was ruled out - but I guess suicide is better than murder.  Based on the comments, the Huffington Post has more extreme right-wing readers than the Free Republic.

"Excerpt from Manuscript by Richard Bartholomew"  "Intellfirst" has been identified as Air Force Colonel Delk Simpson, a man with a great name.  I'd always be looking for conspiracy plotters in the group of high ranking, but disappointed in rank achieved, military and intelligence officials.

"Israeli ministers prickle at Clinton critique"  Even stranger, and as the usual backdoor channels apparently aren't working, the American Jewish Billionaires had Hillary deliver a message to the Israeli right to turn the crazy down a notch.

"U.S. warns Palestinians: Stop leaking content of Quartet talks"  Palestinian leaks of their extremely reasonable positions are embarrassing the Americans:
"The Palestinians presented the Quartet with two documents relating to the borders of a future Palestinian state and security arrangements with Israel in November, but the Quartet told the Palestinians that the documents would not be passed to the Israelis, according to the official.

Quartet representatives told Saeb Erekat, head of the Palestinian negotiating team, that the proposals he presented were not relevant, because they had not been presented in direct talks with Israel, the official said.

“We continue to call for a direct exchange between the parties, starting with the preparatory meeting that leads to a presentation of proposals on territory and security. And that objective has not been met, but we're continuing to work towards that,” the official said.

The Americans have expressed displeasure with the Palestinians in part because of their refusal to engage in face-to-face talks with Israel. The Obama administration sees the Palestinian strategy of presenting proposals to the Quartet without engaging in direct talks as an attempt to change the rules of the game."
The Palestinians are refusing to play along with the Zionist/American farce that they are only allowed to participate in negotiations if they give up all negotiating points first.

"Was there coordination between Homeland Security and police departments in clearing out Occupy encampments?"  Sensible.  Professional 'progressives' continue to quibble about this to a degree that seems out of proportion to the importance of the issue.  It reflects a much greater fear that OWS will deny Obama's reelection.  Next summer, the Republicans are going to try to portray the protesters as Commie hippies working for Obama.  At the same time, OWS might even turn into a Nader-like third party.  Say hello to President Newt.  Berry is vacuuming up so many millions of dollars from Wall Street for his reelection that the obligatory attempt by the professional 'progressives' to co-opt the movement is going to look silly.  Eventually - but maybe not in time to stop Obama's reelection - something has got to give.  The 'progressives' are shitting themselves over even a hint that Obama has been doing Wall Street's dirty work, as likely as it actually is.

The punishment for all the lying and bad faith is Israelification

"From Occupation to “Occupy”: The Israelification of American Domestic Security"  The racist supremacism of the Jews is now promoted as the model for everyone.  Unfortunately, the American history of white supremacism makes it fertile ground for such vile nonsense.

A Jewish journalist praising the concept of Israelificiation:  "Doctrine of Silence"  Needless to say, the real 'alternative' that Cohen can't possibly imagine is to stop fighting Wars For The Jews.

The punishment for failing to face the facts while throwing the slur around at anyone who mentions the facts will be living in poverty in a completely fascist police state, in constant fear of 1) enemies legitimately seeking revenge, and 2) your own oppressive ultra-violent government.  I am going to enjoy the schadenfreude.

Oddly enough, Israel, the inspiration for all the Evil, won't exist by that time.  People trying to explain to their children why they have to live like animals won't even be able to point to the root cause.

Explosions and spy rings

Crazy days in the Middle East:
  1. "Exclusive: Israeli Military Intelligence Caused Massive Explosion in Hezbollah South Lebanon Arms Cache"
  2. the Israeli part of the story conclusively refuted by b
  3. Silverstein doubles down:  "Annals of Israeli Blacks Ops: Lebanon, Iran Continued" and "Israeli Intelligence All But Takes Credit for Isfahan Blast, Black Ops as Route to War"
  4. "Report: Mysterious blast in Iran's Isfahan damaged key nuclear site"
  5. an earlier incident, with more credit taken, from Debka:  "Suspicion in Iran that Stuxnet caused Revolutionary Guards base explosions"
  6. "Hezbollah Stumbles on Bumbling CIA Spy Rings" "Iran and Hezbollah Caught All the CIA Spies at Pizza Hut"
  7. "Iran delivers major blow to the CIA"

Silverstein appears to be a lite Zionist, but he is either working for Israeli extreme Zionist forces or has been duped by his sources, who have strung him along - and burnished his credibility - with a series of unimportant breaches of Israeli military censorship (which is silly in its strictness, but serves the purpose of shielding Bibi and the generals from certain embarrassing questions from the Israeli media).  Note how Silverstein claims to be against an attack on Iran - just like the concentration camp guard! - but yet continues to engage in 'Iran talk'.

As I have said before, fascist military dictatorships - of which Israel is the best example at this time, and perhaps ever - need either wars or talk of wars. They have been building up the supposed Iranian nuclear program, and yet are unable to do anything about it (or trick the Americans into doing anything about it).  Thus we are hearing lots of tall tales about the wonderful workings of Israeli intelligence to protect the Jewish people from yet another 'existential threat':  Stuxnet, blowing up things, killing nuclear scientists, etc.  It is likely the terrorism in Iran is the work of the MEK - the only official 'terrorist' organization that is treated in Washington as a government in exile! - which is based mainly in France and the US, and thus is likely being run by the CIA and/or French intelligence.  The Jews can't do things so they take credit for things done by others.  Some of these things simply didn't happen (it doesn't help that the sole source is usually an anonymous Israeli intelligence source, which gains credibility by being washed through various media outlets), some were accidents, and some were terrorist operations by a crazed religious cult.  No Jews anywhere.

In the meantime, Iran and Hezbollah improve their counterintelligence skills, which should in the long run reduce the atrocities perpetrated against Iran and Lebanon.

The stoning of Paul

"Republican Jewish Coalition Bars Ron Paul From Presidential Debate, Saying He's Too "misguided and extreme""

"Jewish Group Won’t Let Ron Paul into Its Debate"

It will be amusing to watch this play out.  It seems that some Jews won't rest until Americans are better educated on some of the most serious problems facing the United States (despite the fact it is the Jew-controlled media that carefully hides those facts).

Reducing the settlement

I've been thinking more about the high weirdness of the World Socialist Web Site taking such an interest in the civil rights of one of the most powerful members of the oppressive class, one who is almost certainly a serial sexual predator of the worst order who will continue to offend until he is stopped.  Their excuse:
"Strauss-Kahn is, of course, a representative of big business, no different from Sarkozy, Obama or any other capitalist politician in that respect. The warning to be made is that if such brutal treatment, and such a fabricated case, can be carried out against such an individual, what will the ruling elite prepare against individuals from the working class, who lack Strauss-Kahn’s access to millions of dollars and high-priced legal backing?"
is weak, almost comical. If they wanted to take up the problem of deprivation of civil rights on a case-by-case basis there are millions of much more deserving cases, many of them actually innocent, and of no further danger to society.  They've been using this bizarre excuse for some time now, and I suspect it has much more to do with the internal party politics of the French official 'left' than it has to do with using DSK as the poster boy for human rights.

DSK has much more serious and pressing legal problems in France, and I suspect his lawyers have told him he needs to clear up the civil suit in the US first.  The Epstein article is intended to reduce the amount he - or rather, his enabling wife - will have to pay to the victim in New York.  It is nice to know the 'socialists' are helping out.

Commies for the 0.01%

Curiouser and curiouser (politics makes strange bedfellows):  even the commies think rape victims are sluts.  And come on! - the head of the IMF may have raped one of your employees in your hotel.  Of course you phone the head office!  There is no need to start to see proof of a Sarko conspiracy.

Note how sneakily this is written (my emphasis in red; I thought Martin was a straight shooter but there goes his reputation, and all for the head of the IMF!):
"The most extraordinary evidence brought forward in the Epstein article concerns the actions of Brian Yearwood, the hotel engineer, and an unidentified man, apparently a security agent of some kind, who are seen on the videotape accompanying Nafissatou Diallo to the security office where she reported the attack. About an hour afterwards, the security office placed a 911 call to the police—a delay which Epstein notes as peculiar and unexplained.
Two minutes after the 911 call is placed, bringing the police into the case officially and ensuring the public vilification and humiliation of Strauss-Kahn, Yearwood and the unidentified man appear on a security videotape giving each other high-fives and performing what lawyers for Strauss-Kahn described as a victory dance. What were they celebrating?"
Actually, if you think it through, the hotel delayed phoning in order to protect their important customer, and almost gave him the chance to flee the jurisdiction.  Then they turned right around and, with a lie about the missing phone, tricked DSK into being caught.  There are competing forces at work.

"The Strange Argument That Dominique Strauss-Kahn Was Set Up":
"Epstein makes much of the disappearance of DSK’s IMF BlackBerry. A “researcher” at the rival party who somehow has reliable access to such information has told DSK by text (to which Epstein inexplicably has access too) “that at least one private email he had recently sent from his BlackBerry to his wife, Anne Sinclair, had been read at the UMP offices in Paris. It is unclear how the UMP offices might have received this email, but if it had come from his IMF BlackBerry, he had reason to suspect he might be under electronic surveillance in New York.” Except that there was no need to have DSK surveilled in New York in order to access his email — an enterprising hacker could have hacked into the server without any access to the physical device."
This is an iffy paragraph - hacking into Blackberry's servers would be a major task, if not impossible (that's one reason why Blackberries are still used by security-conscious corporations in this age of Apple) - but the point about Epstein's info having to come from DSK himself is valid.

There are quite possibly competing conspiracies here, a set-up conspiracy and a counter conspiracy of which Epstein's article, and the mishandling of the charges by the New York prosecutor's office (Cyrus R. Vance, Jr.), are parts.  We're watching the tectonic plates of super-power grind against each other.  Even the commies are in on it!

Dancing men

"Strauss-Kahn and the Dancing Men"  Pretty good response to Epstein.  Epstein mixes the phone hack story - quite possible - with the dancing men story - improbable, and denied - to create a larger conspiracy (and Epstein's creation of conspiracies goes back to his writings on the JFK assassination, and does not reflect well on Epstein).  I still see absolutely no reason to doubt the story of the victim.  As I have already said, there may very well be a conspiracy, with the maid sent up unknowingly to meet a DSK who the conspirators knew was such an animal he would attack her.  In other words, even if he was framed (in a way), the frame-up still leaves him as some kind of monster (backed up by other stories of a lifetime of monstrous behavior that are still coming out).

The comment by 'ProfRoss' is probably correct:
"We have a different view of this overseas. DSK's philandering was legendary within certain exclusive circles, and completely unknown to the general public. Yes, there was a conspiracy at work here, but not of the usual sort. There was a decision made here to reveal the truth, as opposed to conceal it. The French let the NYPD do their dirty work. DSK simply wasn't protected; there was no cover up."
If there was a conspiracy, who did it? Lots of suspects. Sarko? The other possible candidates for the French 'left'? Somebody with money in the game in Europe who didn't like the direction the IMF was taking?

"I hate bullies and I love freedom fights"

"When the Coffers Run Dry"  Jewish threats to -  completely illegally, but what else is new with Israel? - withhold Palestinian tax revenues until the slaves of the Jews do what the Jews want are always just threats, as the collapse of the Palestinian Authority collaborators would mean that the Jews would have to fulfil their obligations under international law to look after the subjects of their illegal occupation, plus 'police' them in their vicious violent supremacist way, all of which would provide terrible problems for the Jews.  The Palestinians can always call that bluff.

"NBC and the Israel lobby"  Of course, it is the finest distilled essence of 'anti-Semitism' to even think about suggesting that the Jews control the mass media for their own - violent racist supremacist - ends.  Yet they do.

"The new gilded age"  The craziest ideas have to be introduced gradually, and suddenly one day they become established 'common sense'

"Open Letter to Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi"  It is too bad psychopaths are impossible to shame.

"Guardians of the City: An interview with Neturei Karta’s Rabbi Meir Hirsh"  For those who think that the 'Good Jew' is a myth.

Lots from Weiss today:  "‘It’s time to stop the bully’: Adbusters editor Kalle Lasn on Occupy Wall Street, the Israel lobby and the New York Times"  On dealing with the muck of being slurred by vicious violent group supremacists who control the mainstream media dialogue.  I don't think the Jews realize how much hatred - real hatred, not the phony kind denoted by 'anti-Semitic' - this constant bullying for vicious violent group supremacist ends is creating in moral and decent people.  The entire interview is good, the kind of questions and answers you never see, due to control by, and fear of, the you-know-whos and their shabbos goy enablers, but here is the concluding answer by Lasn:
"When I see Israel acting so arrogant and so tough—here’s one of the most powerful military forces in the world, they have nukes—and when I see them cordoning off Gaza the way they do and when they attack Gaza the way they did, it just fills me with rage because this is a powerful bully that is basically turning Gaza into kind of a turkey shoot. I really see it in this kind of very visceral way, like how could they possibly get away with doing this? For me, it’s almost a very black and white battle where, let’s stop arguing about who’s right and who’s wrong, let’s just take sides and start fighting for the human rights and the other rights that the Palestinians should have, and let’s not allow the bully to always win. I mean, it’s time to stop the bully."

The DSK PR whitewash campaign has begun (note the author is none other than Edward Jay Epstein - DSK only hires the best).  The weirdness:
"By the time Sheehan was called by the hotel at 1:03 PM, Diallo was seated on a bench in the hotel’s ground floor service area, just off the service entrance on 45th Street. Behind her was a “Dutch door,” with the upper half opened, that led to the hotel’s security office. Surveillance camera footage shows her entering the area with a tall unidentified man at 12:52 PM. She mains there until 2:05 PM. At 12:56, she is joined there by Brian Yearwood, the large, heavy-set man who is the hotel’s chief engineer. Yearwood had just come down from the presidential suite on the twenty-eighth floor, which he had entered at 12:51, according to the key records. Yearwood remained close to Diallo as she spoke to Adrian Branch, the security chief for the hotel, who remained behind the half-shut door of the security office. She can be seen gesturing with her hands for about four minutes, pointing to different parts of her body over and over again, suggesting she was telling and retelling her story.
At 1:28, Sheehan, still on the way to the hotel, sent a text message to Yearwood. And then another text message to an unidentified recipient at 1:30. At 1:31—one hour after Diallo had first told a supervisor that she had been assaulted by the client in the presidential suite—Adrian Branch placed a 911 call to the police. Less than two minutes later, the footage from the two surveillance cameras shows Yearwood and an unidentified man walking from the security office to an adjacent area. This is the same unidentified man who had accompanied Diallo to the security office at 12:52 PM. There, the two men high-five each other, clap their hands, and do what looks like an extraordinary dance of celebration that lasts for three minutes."

Three minutes? This "large, heavy-set man" danced for three minutes?

"Chavez repatriates Venezuela's foreign gold reserves"  After the brazen theft of Libyan assets - and I wonder who ultimately ended up with them? - no country should leave any assets in the hands of a financial institution connected to a country that is a NATO member.

The American left - which is desperately trying to support Obama while pretending to be part of the 99% - is embarrassing itself badly:
  1. "Updated: The Shocking Truth About Naomi Wolf's Factless Assertions" (here's Wolf's useful article, attempting to make the financial corruption connections more direct).  Note the weak ad hominem attack on Phil Anschutz and the original story, which, as I have said, makes perfect sense (in fact, I'd fall over dead with amazement if there wasn't federal central organization of the attacks on the protesters, and the DHS is just the organization to coordinate it).
  2. "Naomi Wolf’s ‘Shocking Truth’ About the ‘Occupy Crackdowns’ Offers Anything but the Truth"
  3. "#OccupySeattle Protester Who Claimed Miscarriage Has Dubious History With The Truth"  This attack is directly based on the standard methodology of a Fox News attack, and indicates how far the American professional 'left' has fallen.

Best Obama explanation buried here:
"Atkins doesn’t get that Obama isn’t a Democrat or a Republican: he’s just for himself. The Democrat “thing” was a Chicago political necessity."
If you aim to be President and you are running your political life out of Chicago, you are going to have to pretend to be a Democrat.

"The Majority, Including Occupy and the Tea Party, Agree On Top Issues"  One of the lines of the whores for the 1% is that the 1% can't do anything as it is impossible to know what the 99% want.

I don't think people are giving enough credit to the Morris/Thompson mini-documentary.  Neither is an idiot, and the Umbrella Man story is preposterous.  What conclusion can we draw from that?  Aren't all the Official Stories preposterous?  There are a number of short summaries of the final Official Story of the September 11 attacks that sound like a comedy routine.  Preposterousness seems to be part of the methodology of building a story that the Powers That Be think they can get away with, and they seem to be correct.

"Occupy Wall Street Calls Off Its Egyptian Expedition" (via the Angry Arab; my emphasis in red):
"After a tough week for protesters both in New York and in Cairo, Occupy Wall Street has stalled in planning their trip to Egypt, citing logistical roadblocks and safety concerns. A group of 20 delegates had already secured funding through a proposal passed by the General Assembly nearly two weeks ago and was excited to leave for Egypt on November 25, just in time for the country's parliamentary elections. But after being evicted from Zuccotti Park and scattered around the city, Kobi Skolnick, a 30-year-old Israeli-American and one of the main organizers of the two-month trip — for which the protest movement had funded with  $29,000 — says that they just didn't have time to get a plan together."
Hint:  there is no such thing as an Israeli-American (btw, how did the 'Israeli-American' issue even come up?).  There are Americans, and there are violent racist Jewish supremacists who attempt to pass as Americans for the purposes of running various supremacist schemes (and spring is definitely not in the air:  "Arab Spring is moving the Middle East backward, charges Netanyahu").  When Occupy Wall Street fails, we'll know why.  One of the deals you get if you play along with Jewish supremacism is assistance in surveillance (it may be politically difficult to spy on your own people) and in the repression of political dissent.

Umbrella in the sun

The Errol Morris mini-documentary (see also here) on the Umbrella Man (Morris and Thompson are both heroes in their respective fields).  The various shooters couldn't see what was going on (but could easily see the umbrella).  The man was part of the spotting team, located right where the shots were to hit so he could immediately see when the fatal shot landed.  He could then signal for the shooting team to stop shooting.  They were to shoot until they received his signal to stop.

Is there a certain genius in coming up with the least plausible excuse to explain what you were doing?

Some think the other member of the spotting team was Orlando Bosch.

"Gentlemen. You can't fight in here. This is the War Room!"

In the spirit of Kubrick:  "Gentlemen. You can't practice journalism in here. This is the Press Club!"

"National Press Club suspends journalist over tough questions for Saudi prince"

"National Press Club suspends journalist for asking Saudi prince a tough question"

"Exposed: US press 'freedom'" (note that Tzipi got the same protection, which is probably not a coincidence, especially as the Saudis are now firm Israeli allies).

"Journalist Questions Legitimacy of Saudi Regime, Is Suspended from National Press Club"

The quibble seems to be that he is not debased enough to be considered a 'journalist', which is probably true.

So it always goes

It's funny how the elites always overreact when even the slightest criticism is pointed in their general direction, and overreact in a way that is against their own class interest. If they did nothing, ignored the protests and ordered their controlled media to censor information on the protests, they might buy themselves some time, but they cannot accept the tiniest criticism of their class position, and thus do exactly what would be required to make the protests grow quickly.  Of course, just like in, say, Egypt, the elites know they aren't prepared to throw the tiniest bone to the 99%, so there is nothing they can do to pretend to care (in fact, the plan is to divert even more money to the 1% from the 99%).  It helps that the police - not to mention the mayors, university presidents, and the like - always turn out to be subhuman buffoons, and can always be counted on to behave in a manner most likely to increase general outrage.

And so it always goes.  Relatively small protests, massive overreaction - and we haven't even begun to see the inevitable police murders of protesters yet - thus escalating the anger and increasing the number of active protesters, and so on.  As long as the anger and the source of the anger persists, the process is inevitable, and the lessons of history, even recent history, are completely lost on the elites and their buffoons.

Given how we know things work, can there be any doubt that the repression is orchestrated at the highest levels of government?  Why would the elites settle for anything less?  The 1% phone the guys at the top (of course!!!).  The Department of Homeland Security was set up with one purpose, and one purpose only, to foster Islamophobia in the United States so that Jews could kill people and steal their land in the Middle East.  However, once you set up an institution, and give it billions of dollars to do absolutely nothing useful, it needs to find a reason to justify its existence, and beating up 'hippies' fits the bill.  Obama-protecting notwithstanding, this is going to become more obvious as time goes on.

That is impossible to sustain

"Henry Kissinger: Jews Are ‘Self-Serving Bastards’"  I should immediately note that you can't trust anything said by Henry the K, as his lies tend to reflect what he perceives his audience wants to hear, but one comment, by Gaza Calling, to this typically Jew-centric Gawker posting was interesting (and the reaction of the commentators to someone having the audacity to point out one of the most obvious Jewish tricks to provide more colonialists for Israel so predictable):
"The line about "rescuing Jews stuck behind the Iron Curtain from Soviet oppression" is simpleton talk. In truth, Jews were among the most highly educated sector of the Soviet population and the whole issue about saving them was one of the biggest scams of the 20th century.

The smartest Russians, however, may have been those who stayed behind and through a backroom deal with Yelsin came into possession of all of Russia’s natural resources, making these "oligarchs" the greatest collection of thieves, perhaps, in all of history. That they were even more exclusively Jewish than were our neocons was only, of course, a coincidence, such as, for example, the Pope being Catholic.

"
More interesting: read the document at the link, a December 1975 memorandum of conversation between U.S. secretary of state Henry the K and Iraqi foreign minister Sa'dun Hammadi. An example of the kind of lying, sprinkled with obvious truths, practiced by American diplomats, but packed full of zingers (my emphasis in red):
"Hammadi: We, of course, have different views, and I will tell you why. Iraq is part of the Arab world. We believe the United States has been the major factor in building up Israel to what it is today.
Kissinger: True.
Hammadi: It was created in 1948 and could not have lived up to this day without the United States.
Kissinger: The Soviet Union was active then, too.
Hammadi: True. That is why there were some strained relations with the Soviet Union. Our good relations with the Soviet Union are only more recent. The Communists were not popular with the masses then. But the difference is you believe Israel is there to stay. We believe Israel was established by force and is a clear-cut case of colonialism. Israel was established on part of our homeland. You don't believe that. But that is not the whole story. Israel is now a direct threat to Iraq's national security.
Kissinger: How to Iraq?
Hammadi: Israel has built up to a military power that can threaten Iraq, especially with the recent news that we read of the U.S. supplying sophisticated weapons. So it is not only the Arab world that is threatened, and Iraq being part of the Arab world, but Iraq itself. We think the U.S. is building up Israel to have the upper hand in the area. Even Lebanon—they say it affects Israel's security. A strong, powerful, nuclear Israel with the upper hand in the area. Whatever happens in the Arab world is interpreted as a threat to Israel. Even a change in government in Iraq would be interpreted that way.
Kissinger: My impression is if you change your government in Iraq, they won't object. [Laughter]. I understand your problem.
Hammadi: This is my painting of the picture now—up to 1980. You say the United States is bringing all its weight to bring about a settlement. But this is a settlement, not peace. A new wave of troubles and clashes will start because Israel is not a state to stay within what they are. Because if there is an opportunity, they will expand. The record shows it. And they are supported by the biggest power in the area. What the United States is doing is not to create peace but to create a situation dominated by Israel, which will create a new wave of clashes.
Kissinger: I understand what you are saying. When I say we are willing to improve relations with Iraq, we can live without it. But it is our policy to move toward better relations. I think, when we look at history, that when Israel was created in 1948, I don't think anyone understood it. It originated in American domestic politics. It was far away and little understood. So it was not an American design to get a bastion of imperialism in the area. It was much less complicated. And I would say that until 1973, the Jewish community had enormous influence. It is only in the last two years, as a result of the policy we are pursuing, that it has changed.
We don't need Israel for influence in the Arab world. On the contrary, Israel does us more harm than good in the Arab world. You yourself said your objection to us is Israel. Except maybe that we are capitalists. We can't negotiate about the existence of Israel, but we can reduce its size to historical proportions. I don't agree that Israel is a permanent threat. How can a nation of three million be a permanent threat? They have a technical advantage now. But it is inconceivable that peoples with wealth and skill and the tradition of the Arabs won't develop the capacity that is needed. So I think in ten to fifteen years, Israel will be like Lebanon—struggling for existence, with no influence in the Arab world.
You mentioned new weapons. But they will not be delivered in the foreseeable future. All we agreed to is to study it, and we agreed to no deliveries out of current stocks. So many of these things won't be produced until 1980, and we have not agreed to deliver them then.
Our policy is to move our policy towards peace and to improve relations with the Arab world. Iraq is not a negotiator, but I think the policy of Egypt and Syria to improve relations with us helps us to bring pressure for a settlement.
The Israelis like you better than [Egyptian president Anwar] Sadat because they like to put it in terms of a U.S.-Soviet problem. We don't want you to have unfriendly relations with the Soviet Union; we don't interfere in your relations with the Soviet Union. But basically, the Israelis prefer radical Arabs.
If the issue is the existence of Israel, we can't cooperate. But if the issue is more normal borders, we can cooperate.
We have moved toward normalization with others—except Libya. South Yemen, we will move towards.
Hammadi: We are on the other side of the fence. We have the right to ask many questions.
Kissinger: Please.
Hammadi: Given the record, what can make us believe the United States won't continue the policy of the last twenty years of giving unlimited support.
Kissinger: It depends on what you mean by unlimited support. One important change in America … Sabbagh was with me when I saw Faisal for the first time. I told him it would take a few years; we would have to move slowly. I have told all the Arabs this. It has now reached the point in America where attitudes have changed. When I testify to congressional committees, I face increasingly hostile questions about Israel. No one is in favor of Israel's destruction—I won't mislead you—nor am I.
But the support in the 1960s was $200-300 million. Now it is $2-3 billion. That is impossible to sustain. We can't even get it for New York. It is just a matter of time before there is a change—two to three years. After a settlement, Israel will be a small friendly country with no unlimited drawing right. It will be affected by our new electoral law, strangely enough. So the influence of some who financed the elections before isn't so great. This has not been so noticed. It will take a few years before it is fully understood.
So I think the balance in America is shifting. If the Arabs—if I can be frank—don't do anything stupid. If there is a crisis tied to the Soviet Union, groups in America could make it an anticommunist crusade.
Hammadi: So you think the U.S. policy after a settlement wouldn't be the same?
Kissinger: We want the survival of Israel but not dominating the area. No one can conquer the Arab world. Even if they take Damascus, Cairo, and Amman, you will be there, and Libya will be there. So if Israel wants to survive as a state like Lebanon—as a small state—we can support them.
Hammadi: What is the Israeli thinking?
Kissinger: First, they want to get rid of me. Because I made them go back. Second, in 1976, they want to provoke the Arabs—in Lebanon, in Syria—because they think if there is war they can win and create great turmoil. Third, they want to pass legislation in America to antagonize as many Arabs as possible. So we get the anti-boycott, anti-discrimination, anti-arms sales legislation. They hope the Arabs will go back to a situation like 1967-1973 when the Syrians and Egyptians adopt an anti-American line. So they can say they are the only American friend in the Middle East. What they want is what you predict—that they be the only friend. We want other friends, to reduce that argument.
Aide: Your Excellency, do you think a settlement would come through the Palestinians in the area? How do you read it? Is it in your power to create such a thing?
Kissinger: Not in 1976. I have to be perfectly frank with you. I think the Palestinian identity has to be recognized in some form. But we need the thoughtful cooperation of the Arabs. It will take a year or a year and a half to do it and will be a tremendous fight. An evolution is already taking place.
Aide: You think it will be part of a solution?
Kissinger: It has to be. No solution is possible without it. But the domestic situation is becoming favorable. More and more questions are being asked in Congress favorable to the Palestinians.
Hammadi: Do you think a Palestinian state is possible?
Kissinger: We don't exclude it as a matter of principle. You can't do it now.
Hammadi: What about Palestinians who are now refugees? The Palestine area is now crowded—Gaza and the West Bank.
Kissinger: They should have a choice, either to stay where they are or go to a Palestinian state.
Hammadi: You think some in, say, the Galilee area might choose to leave Israel and join the new Palestinian state?
Kissinger: In Galilee?
Hammadi: Arab Israelis.
Kissinger: I have told friends that peace isn't a final end. Wars begin elsewhere between countries that are at peace. Only in the Middle East do wars begin between countries that are at war. But we support the existence of Israel. We draw the line at the destruction of Israel.
Aide: The Palestinians already put aside this idea. This is my personal view. Because the Israelis are trying to buy land in the Galilee area, and there is resistance. The Communist Party in the area is using it in the municipal elections. Is this because the Israelis are looking to the creation of a Palestinian state and want to buy this land?
Kissinger: It could be in their minds. I am not familiar with it.
Aide: This is being used by the Communist Party in the area. The Israelis know you Americans are behind the idea of a Palestinian state.
Kissinger: We have to be careful and move gradually. The Israeli press accuses me. I have said we can't move to the Palestinians until they accept the existence of the State of Israel and Security Council Resolution 242. I have never excluded the recognition of the PLO; I have always tied it to recognition of Israel and 242. The implication is we will do something if they do recognize Israel and 242.
Aide: Kaddumi says: "How can we recognize Israel if they don't recognize the PLO?"
Kissinger: With all respect, what Israel does is less important than what the United States does."

Mubarak in Amerika

"Oakland Mayor Jean Quan Admits Cities Coordinated Crackdown on Occupy Movement" and a comment by 'ahmedia':
"Mubarak playbook… Night raid, media blackout… and coordinating assault …"
"Did Feds Coordinate Occupy Wall Street Crackdowns?"

"Update: 'Occupy' crackdowns coordinated with federal law enforcement officials":
"Over the past ten days, more than a dozen cities have moved to evict "Occupy" protesters from city parks and other public spaces. As was the case in last night's move in New York City, each of the police actions shares a number of characteristics. And according to one Justice official, each of those actions was coordinated with help from Homeland Security, the FBI and other federal police agencies.
The official, who spoke on background to me late Monday evening, said that while local police agencies had received tactical and planning advice from national agencies, the ultimate decision on how each jurisdiction handles the Occupy protests ultimately rests with local law enforcement.
According to this official, in several recent conference calls and briefings, local police agencies were advised to seek a legal reason to evict residents of tent cities, focusing on zoning laws and existing curfew rules. Agencies were also advised to demonstrate a massive show of police force, including large numbers in riot gear. In particular, the FBI reportedly advised on press relations, with one presentation suggesting that any moves to evict protesters be coordinated for a time when the press was the least likely to be present."
"Mayors, police chiefs talk strategy on protests" (I think this is the sanitized Official Story provided as a public service by the AP)

There is push-back from the 'left' on this, based on the fear it is a right-wing attack against Obama (who left the country just before the multitude of simultaneous raids, no doubt a big coincidence).

The 1%, hard at work

"Big Finance Moves In" by Mike Whitney:
"Greek Prime Minister Georgios Papandreou and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi have both been forced from office and replaced by representatives of big finance. Mario Monti, who will replace Berlusconi, was formerly the European Chairman of the Trilateral Commission and a member of the Bilderberg Group. He is also listed on Goldman Sachs board of international advisers.
Lucas Papademos, who will replace Papandreou, was formerly the Vice President of the European Central Bank (ECB), and served as Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in 1980. He’s also been a member of the Trilateral Commission since 1998.
It’s also worth noting that the ECB’s new president, Mario Draghi, is a trustee at the Brookings Institution, a Fellow of the Institute of Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements, and a former Managing Director at Goldman Sachs."
I guess it is no time for subtlety.

"'Vulture Capitalism': Iceland’s New Bank Disaster" by Olafur Arnarson and Michael Hudson and Gunnar Tomasson:
"After the September 2008 crash, Iceland’s government took over the old, collapsed, banks and created new ones in their place. Original bondholders of the old banks off-loaded the Icelandic bank bonds in the market for pennies on the dollar. The buyers were vulture funds. These bondholders became the owners of the old banks, as all shareholders were wiped out. In October, the government’s monetary authority appointed new boards to control the banks. Three new banks were set up, and all the deposits, mortgages and other bank loans were transferred to these new, healthier banks – at a steep discount. These new banks received 80 percent of the assets, the old banks 20 percent.
Then, owners of the old banks were given control over two of the new banks (87% and 95% respectively). The owners of these new banks were called vultures not only because of the steep discount at which the financial assets and claims of the old banks were transferred, but mainly because they already had bought control of the old banks at pennies on the dollar.
The result is that instead of the government keeping the banks and simply wiping them out in bankruptcy, the government kept aside and let vulture investors reap a giant windfall – that now threatens to plunge Iceland’s economy into chronic financial austerity. In retrospect, none of this was necessary. The question is, what can the government do to clean up the mess that it has created by so gullibly taking bad IMF advice?"
Funny that we're in the middle of a big propaganda blitz that Iceland did the right thing and is a model for us all, while it looks like a slightly more sophisticated defalcation.

"You Are The 98%" (found via here, with much better comments).  He sounds like an old man waving his cane at the kids and yelling for them to get off his lawn.  What all these guys don't understand is that their clueless reaction is one of the important results of the actions of the protesters.  In fact, it is the reaction of the establishment - which is already involving violence - which is the key to the protest.  I did however like his comment on Naomi Klein, a problem, not a solution, just like Žižek, Krugman, Chomsky, and all the other elites who want to take charge/credit for what the people are starting to do:
"Grant me that when Naomi Klein is invited to speak for the 99%, at least 45% are looking at each other like, wtf, who let Linda Tripp in here? "

"Archaeologists resume work at contentious worksite of Jerusalem museum":
"Archaeologists have resumed excavating the Jerusalem site where the Museum of Tolerance is to go up, amid controversy surrounding the exhumation of skeletons in what had been a Muslim cemetery for nearly 1,000 years.
In addition to fielding objections to the museum site, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, which is sponsoring and financing the project, also has to contend with the recent resignation of the two architects who planned the museum. But for all the troubles, construction of the museum is scheduled to begin in the next few weeks."
"Police Find Gun Used in Unsolved Murder Series":
"Police may be a step closer to solving one of the most mysterious murder series in German criminal history after a potentially crucial clue turned up in an investigation into another high-profile crime.

The murder series involved execution-style killings of nine shop owners, eight of them of Turkish descent and one Greek, in cities across Germany between 2000 and 2006. The press dubbed the murders the "doner killings" because the victims were all small businessmen and included two kebab shop owners, a grocer, a tailor, a flower seller and a key cutter. The only link that police found between the murders was the weapon used -- a Czech-made Ceska 83 pistol with a 7.65 millimeter caliber. Now investigators suspect the killings may be connected to an ongoing case involving a trio of fugitive neo-Nazis in eastern Germany. Two of them, identified only as Uwe M. and Uwe B., robbed a bank in Eisenach a few days ago and then shot each other in a trailer. There, investigators later found a police-issue pistol that linked them to the murder of policewoman Michele Kiesewetter in 2007 in Heilbronn in eastern Germany.
Their roommate and accomplice, Beate Z., is now in jail after handing herself in to police earlier this week. She is accused of blowing up the house where they lived in Zwickau. The trio was known to police in Thuringia because of their suspected bomb-making activities in the 1990s and connections to a far-right group known as the Thüringer Heimschutz."
"Why the Washington Post won’t fire Jennifer Rubin"  While I admire the effort, i don't think Greenwald ever answers his own question.

"Have you been able to successfully update to Firefox 8?":
"I love Firefox. I first tasted Firefox via Firefox 2 and have been a loyalist since then, even with many of my friends and family defecting to the competition such as Chrome. However, Firefox is really starting to piss me off. Whereas Firefox used to be the standard in Internet browser excellence, it has now become a bloated, poorly coded piece of crap. I hate to say this but I find Firefox crashing on me as much, if not more, than Internet Explorer; not to mention how it bleeds memory like RAM grows on trees."
My attempt at Firefox 8 crashed before it loaded. I'm now using the last semi-stable version, 5.0.1, with very few extensions, although I only use it if I have to.
