The newest Official Story that the other woman was a bit of a bunny boiler puts to rest the possibility that she was part of an espionage action against Petraeus, as she'd hardly go out of her way in attacking the possible other other woman if it would wreck the operation.  This relieves some embarrassment at the CIA.

The FBI employee improperly going to the Republicans is funny as Petraeus is a Republican and was a possible Presidential candidate, and God knows the Republicans are in desperate need of a Presidential candidate who isn't a complete joke.

The newest Official Story has it that Petraeus didn't fall on his sword as an honorable man, but waited until he had no choice except resigning.
