The interest of justice

"Prosecutors seek to drop first Capitol riot case" (Williams).  Either the paid confidential informant was telling the truth and the FBI lost the evidence (very unlikely, but not impossible), or the paid confidential informant was lying.  I would hope that each subsequent prosecution of the Capitol tourists raises the issue that the FBI can't be trusted with its confidential informant, and/or its handling of evidence.
