Clown show

"Breaking Points: CDC’s Mask Order Is a Complete Clown Show" ('Hunter Wallace'):

"Saagar Enjeti does a good job of spelling this out:

  1. COVID kills fat people, sick people and elderly people and ISN’T much of a threat to the rest of the population
  2. The people who are most vulnerable to getting COVID and dying which is elderly people in their 70s, 80s and 90s have largely been vaccinated now
  3. Vaccines are free and widely available now
  4. Vaccines still work against the Delta variant
  5. COVID deaths are a rapidly diminishing problem
  6. It doesn’t really matter if young and healthy people choose not to get vaccinated because the virus isn’t much of a threat to them
  7. Every adult has the right to make their own health decisions. There is no justification for infringing on their civil rights and liberties
  8. The people who choose not to get vaccinated are responsible for their own health. No one else is responsible for their health
  9. There is no justification for bossing around people who have been vaccinated and forcing them to wear masks
  10. Insofar as COVID was a crisis, those days are long over because elderly people can easily get vaccinated. Nothing has changed
  11. This is being done for political reasons because Democrats have nothing else to run on in the 2022 midterms except “the January 6th insurrection” which has replaced Russiagate and only shitlibs care about
  12. The Democrats are trying to stir up a panic about the Delta variant in order to scare the public because it worked in the 2020 election and due to their lack of other options
  13. The CDC lost all credibility after the George Floyd riots and declaring that “racism” is a public health issue
  14. Finally, the progressive busybodies who cynically used COVID to exercise raw power over everyone else clearly need to be knocked down a peg or two as can be seen in their forays into internet censorship and trying to demonize meat eating."
I think point 9 is wrong, as the vaccine doesn't seem to have an effect on blocking either being infected or transmitting the virus (thus the necessity of mask mandates), although it does protect against the worst symptoms in most of the vaccinated.

"Libtards Are Starting to Break" (Menahan).  What happens to the COVID Industrial Complex and its enablers when it becomes undeniable that the vaccine causes the increasingly dangerous variants?

It is not just incompetence that the American aristocracy could not possibly have come up with a better strategy to ensure vaccine hesitancy.

"Why is disgraced ex-spy Christopher Steele involved in a controversial group seeking harsh Covid restrictions?" (Klarenberg).  On point for the full COVID 'reset' conspiracy.  The restrictions are the goal, not ending the danger of the virus.

Wokeism is leading to the end of affirmative action:  "Do Whites Have Civil Rights?" (Sailer).  The next two election cycles - Congressional and Presidential - are very likely to move sharply Republican, and the Democrats are just setting up the situation to allow for a Republican Congress/President to finish affirmative action, backed up by the stacked Supreme Court.

"America’s ‘Great Retreat’ is well underway" (Byren).  As noted by Moon, they are assembling their resources to be ready for the next wars, the main one of which I believe is WWIII against Russia.  The Khabinet would not otherwise have agreed to withdrawal from the Middle East.  Paradoxically, in the meantime (waiting for both Biden and Harris to be replaced by competent people), Russia and the Americans seem to be involved in a series of back-channel discussions to keep the current battlefields relatively sane (which amazingly seems to include stopping the Khazars from their annoying attacks on Syria, which partly involves a rethink of Trump's illegally 'giving' the Golan Heights to the Khazars).

Failed miserably

"Craig Murray’s Jailing Is the Latest Move in a Battle to Snuff Out Independent Journalism" (Cook).  Distinguishing 'journalism' from journalism, protecting the former, and taking all steps possible to repress the latter.  I am still convinced that Murray erred in failing to repress his angry lashing out at the complainants, although he still might get some traction in another court in arguing that, as a factual matter, his were not the revelations that allowed for the doxxing of the complainants. It is always good to end a posting on a cheery note:  "“It Failed Miserably” – What If the US Lost a War and Nobody Noticed?" (King):
"The U.S. military conducted a major wargame last fall and “it failed miserably,” said U.S. Air Force Gen. John Hyten earlier this week.

Hyten spoke at a conference sponsored by the Emerging Technologies Institute. It’s a think tank run by the National Defense Industrial Association, an industry group focused on military modernization. (You can watch it on YouTube here, about an hour and 18 minutes.)

“An aggressive red team that had been studying the United States for the last 20 years just ran rings around us,” he said. “They knew exactly what we're going to do before we did it.”

According to a Pentagon spokesperson, one key scenario of this wargame involved U.S. forces battling with China over Taiwan. From Hyten’s summary, U.S. forces became sitting ducks and were destroyed piecemeal and systematically.

The overarching problem was, basically, everything.

That is, the problem for the U.S. was far beyond the shortcomings of any particular piece of equipment, or ship or airplane, let alone the willingness of U.S. and allied troops to fight. No, the issue was the very essence of how the U.S. military forms strategic concepts and conducts operations.

In other words, the problem was the entire belief system, architecture and construction of the Pentagon way of doing things — and certainly of waging war. By extension, it’s a political problem too, as we’ll address below.

“We always aggregate to fight, and aggregate to survive,” said Hyten.

That is, the U.S. military is built around massing people, equipment and munitions. Build up a huge complex of firepower. Then add massive levels of intelligence information, command and control, and targeting data to, as the saying goes, “take it downrange.”

This has been the U.S. approach to warfighting since World War II, with many of the roots extending back to the Civil War.

Per Hyten, in last fall’s war game, “We basically attempted an information-dominance structure, where information was ubiquitous to our forces. Just like it was in the first Gulf War, just like it has been for the last 20 years, just like everybody in the world, including China and Russia, have watched us do for the last 30 years.”

But the so-called “blue team” (meaning U.S. and allied forces) lost access to communications and data networks almost immediately. Satellites went away. Seafloor cables were cut. Bandwidth died. In general, it was impossible to utilize the electromagnetic environment, and within moments nobody could talk with anybody.

And “what happens if right from the beginning that information is not available?” asked Hyten, rhetorically. “That’s the big problem that we faced.”

According to Hyten, “in today’s world, with hypersonic missiles, with significant long-range fires coming at us from all domains, if you're aggregated and everybody knows where you are, you're vulnerable.”"
and:
"Even worse, most U.S. weapons were outranged by new systems recently deployed by China, much of it based on advanced Russian designs. It’s a long-term U.S. failure in research, development and procurement.

When the balloon went up, most U.S. forces near-immediately lost the ability to coordinate attacks and/or return fire. Much of the targeting data was worthless in any event, while systems used for aiming and guiding munitions also failed.

To the extent that communications worked at all, much of the data were corrupted or hacked.

It’s not overstating to say that, in this one wargame, far from home the U.S. lost vast numbers of people and equipment. In real world terms, think of casualty numbers in the tens of thousands. Of entire bases obliterated. Of hundreds of airplanes lost. Of dozens of ships sunk. And that’s just in the first few days.

The wargame ended with American forces defeated and devastated. U.S. allies were similarly shredded. And U.S. interests in the Western Pacific and Asia were annihilated."
The best part is that it was years and years of watching Wars For The Jews, wars that did no good for the country and actually wrecked it, that provided opponents all the information they needed to build a solid response.

"From ‘Yes we can’ to ‘No, you moron’: Dems have selves to blame for vaccine hesitancy" (Taibbi):
"The Brookings Institute noted that Hillary Clinton won 472 counties in 2016, which accounted for 64 percent of the country’s GDP. Trump meanwhile won 2,584 counties, many in flyover territory, which collectively produced 36 percent of national wealth.

By 2018, it was also true that 41 of the 50 wealthiest congressional districts voted Democratic, with states like California, Virginia, New York, Maryland, and New Jersey dominating. Furthermore, those Brookings stats became an active talking point — for Democrats, who now began to stress the affluence of their voters as an indication of their moral supriority.

“I won the places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product,” Hillary Clinton crowed, on a trip to India. “So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward.”

Democrats for the first time in a long time not only outperformed Republicans in affluent white communities, but essentially owned those territories.

By 2020, the divide was greater, as Frum himself noted. Joe Biden’s 509 counties accounted for 71 percent of the nation’s wealth, while Trump’s 2,547 counties accounted for 29 percent.

In practical terms, what this meant is that education and income, which track pretty closely with each other, became primary determinants in national politics.

This is why it’s no longer surprising to see people like Frum — an incomparable villain in liberal circles even 10 years ago — cheerfully identifying himself as part of the “Blue America” that’s “had enough.” Vice President Kamala Harris previously doubted the COVID-19 vaccine simply because the Trump administration worked on it.
Like Rand’s famous Atlases, they all want to go on strike. American politics is no longer an argument about supply-side economics or war or big vs. small government. It’s about check-writers versus check-takers, the book-learned against the dolts.

The former group, the people who say they’re paying the bills, have spent years now trying to let the rabble know there’s a limit to both their patience and their generosity.

They’ve made it clear there are limits to how much speech freedom they’ll confer, how much political choice or right to assembly will be permitted, how much ignorance will be allowed to fester.
The news landscape has become Frank’s dreaded “utopia of scolding,” with every screen full of finger-wagging Rahms and Brian Stelters telling us how “fed up” they are with others’ inadequacy. This approach not only will fail, it already has, over and over."

Without any irony

"CDC warns COVID-19 may be a few mutations away from evading vaccines" (Salo).

"This Hoax is Just Getting Started: Totally Vaxxed Iceland Now Discussing 15-Year Coronavirus Restrictions Plan" (Anglin):
"Let me just go ahead and make some magical guesses:
  • The entire Western world is going to implement the vaccine passport agenda
  • The vaccine passport will turn into a larger medical database, which keeps track of everyone’s vaccination status
  • A continual series of “new variant” hoaxes will be rolled out, and everyone will be expected to get continual “boosters” to protect from the “new variants”
  • The “new variants” will be blamed on the unvaxxed
  • Unvaxxed will be progressively restricted from not only working, but from buying and selling, and from engaging in society on any level
  • They will introduce an implantable microchip to replace the QR code scanning tracking app
  • A digital credit UBI system will be linked to your app/implant, as most work will be gone
  • Progressively, the virus agenda will be welded onto the global warming agenda, and you will be told that you can’t have your freedoms because you are changing the weather by living your life
  • There will be a “carbon credit” system integrated into your app or microchip implant, which will be something like a social credit score, where you will be rewarded or punished based on how the government and tech corporations determine that your behavior is affecting the weather

Those are all things that I can tell you as easily as I can tell you the sky is blue.

There are still many things that we don’t know, of course.

For example:

  • What will ultimately be done with the people who refuse to be vaccinated – They could round them up and put them in camps, they could round them up and force vaccinate them, they could simply allow them to exist as a kind of “untouchable” class that serves as an example to those who follow orders as to why they need to continue following orders.
  • What the vaccines will do to people in the long term – This is something that not even the overlords themselves know. “Experimental vaccine” means that they do not know what the effects will be, because it is an experiment. It looks like more people are dying than they expected to die in this first wave of deaths coming shortly after the vaxx. It will obviously shorten people’s lives beyond the initial die-offs we’re seeing now, but we do not know if it will be next year or in a couple decades that people really start dying on a mass scale.
  • What the next rounds of vaccines will do – As mentioned above, there is a possibility (probability?) that this vaccine agenda is a part of a massive program to genetically engineer the entire human population. Clearly, there is some reason that the population is being experimented on with this gene therapy, but we do not totally understand what that purpose is. Presumably, the vaxx will make people sterile.
  • How long this system will last – This system is completely out of control, and it is obviously totally unsustainable. There is zero chance that it will last until the end of the century, and it could collapse next year if the United States decides to engage a shooting war with China. I tend to think it can’t hardly go on much longer as it is, because there is such an active push to completely destroy the white middle class that held the country together, and replace them with incompetent brown people, while at the same time, China is rising rapidly and refusing to be bullied. But if the Western nations were able to win a war with the Chinese (and the Russians), that would mean that it could go on for longer because there would be no external pressure. But having attacked the people who built it and held it together, and pushing so aggressively to remove them from the positions they hold where they keep things running, it has already peaked, and we are going to witness a downward spiral.
Here’s another thing we know as a matter of absolute fact: none of this can be fixed."

"Bloomberg doesn’t disclose potential conflict in op-ed promoting Israel arms deal" (Clifton) ((((Ross))) has a much more important (((conflict))) than WestExec).  "Biden Advisers Ride on Pegasus Spyware" (Guyer):
"A new investigation by The Washington Post and a consort (my emphasis in red)ium of 16 international news outlets reveals that software from an Israeli company named NSO Group has spied on hundreds of journalists, activists, executives, and government officials. Its infamous product Pegasus can crack into encrypted phones without a trace and is used by autocrats. The findings are part of the Pegasus Project, which has already presented evidence of the spyware being used to hack the slain Mexican journalist Cecilio Pineda Birto as well as two people close to the journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

But NSO Group has been deflecting from its relationship with authoritarian governments for years. After its surveillance tech was caught being used to target dissidents, the notorious Israeli company sought the assistance of WestExec Advisors, the consultancy founded by now–Secretary of State Tony Blinken and staffed by prominent national-security experts from the Obama administration.

WestExec turned the company down, but NSO was persistent. It was investing heavily in a revamp of its global reputation in response to accusations of its spyware’s abuse, especially in the hands of Saudi Arabia. NSO must have sensed just how influential Blinken’s tight-knit group of former policymakers was, though the client didn’t align with WestExec’s stated principles.

The consulting group stood firm, but NSO had actually already recruited one of its members. Dan Shapiro, a WestExec consultant based in Israel and Obama’s former ambassador to the country, had already been working for NSO.

Shapiro began independently advising NSO in mid-2017, months before WestExec was established. He counseled NSO on how to prevent the misuse of its technology and advised the company to stop selling its hacking tools to Saudi Arabia, according to The New York Times. Initially, NSO heeded. But then, under new ownership—and with the encouragement of the Israeli government and the Trump administration—NSO once again sold its powerful software to Saudi Arabia.
Shapiro advised NSO through the end of 2018 and participated in Biden campaign strategy calls in 2020. He is now under consideration to be President Biden’s special envoy to the Middle East."
and:
"Without any irony, the company celebrated World Data Privacy Day in January on social media. “At NSO Group, we have committed ourselves to high ethical business standards by embedding human rights protections throughout all aspects of our work,” it posted, above an image of a padlock set against neon-colored zeroes and ones. Amid damning revelations about its spyware, not even the best consultants can rebrand NSO."

Intersectional imperialism

"Global Shipping Crisis Far Worse Than Imagined" (Engdahl).

"Hedges: The Collective Suicide Machine":
"The death blow to the American empire will, as McCoy writes, be the loss of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. This loss will plunge the United States into a crippling, and prolonged depression. It will force a massive contraction of the global military footprint.

The ugly, squalid face of empire, with the loss of the dollar as the reserve currency, will become familiar at home. The bleak economic landscape, with its decay and hopelessness, will accelerate an array of violent and self-destructive pathologies including mass shootings, hate crimes, opioid and heroin overdoses, morbid obesity, suicides, gambling, and alcoholism. The state will increasingly dispense with the fiction of the rule of law to rely exclusively on militarized police, essentially internal armies of occupation, and the prisons and jails, which already hold 25 percent of the world’s prisoners although the United States represents less than 5 percent of global population.

Our demise will probably come more swiftly than we imagine. When revenues shrink or collapse, McCoy points out, empires become “brittle.” An economy heavily dependent on massive government subsidies to produce primarily weapons and munitions, as well as fund military adventurism, will go into a tailspin with a heavily depreciated dollar, falling to perhaps a third of its former value. Prices will dramatically rise because of the steep increase in the cost of imports. Wages in real terms will decline. The devaluation of Treasury bonds will make paying for our massive deficits onerous, perhaps impossible. The unemployment level will climb to depression era levels. Social assistance programs, because of a contracting budget, will be sharply curtailed or eliminated. This dystopian world will fuel the rage and hyper nationalism that put Donald Trump in the White House. It will spawn an authoritarian state to keep order and, I expect, a Christianized fascism.

The tools of control on the outer reaches of empire, already part of our existence, will become ubiquitous. The wholesale surveillance, the abolition of basic civil liberties, militarized police authorized to use indiscriminate lethal force, the use of drones and satellites to keep us monitored and fearful, along with the censorship of the press and social media, familiar to Iraqis or Afghans, will define America. We are not the first empire to suffer this fate. It is a familiar ending. Imperialism and militarism are poisons that eradicate the separation of powers, designed to prevent tyranny, and extinguish democracy. If those who orchestrated these crimes are not held accountable, and this means organizing sustained mass resistance, we will pay the price, and we may pay it soon, for their hubris and greed."

Safety plan

At least they didn't catch him smoking weed:

"Though last month SafeSport had suspended Hadzic from the international competition, the 29-year-old from Montclair, New Jersey, fought to get that prohibition lifted through an arbitration process that ultimately permitted him to participate in the Summer Games. Acknowledging the severity of the allegations facing Hadzic, USA Fencing, the athletic federation in charge of selecting the country’s Olympic competitors, created a “safety plan” to keep him away from women and out of the Olympic Village: He flew in on a separate plane from his teammates, is staying at a hotel 30 minutes away from the other athletes, and won't be allowed to practice alongside women teammates. After he appealed those conditions, the entire roster of Team USA fencers signed a letter demanding the restriction stay in place.

These leaky vaccines aren't a bug, but a feature.  The vaccines themselves create more and more dangerous versions of the virus, requiring more vaccines and ... instant billionaires!!!  No wonder they didn't want to wait to test these vaccines in the usual controlled tests.  They would never have been approved.  Bill

Isn't sure

The cognitive dissonance between the media and my own eyeballs

A comment by IM Doc at Naked Captialism (the French Guiana study):

"About the French Guyana paper from the CDC

This is how science – the actual process – not the Fauci version – should be working.

I have repeatedly stated that I am seeing much much more vaccinated positives than one would ever have expected. As I have stated, they seem to be much sicker (though not critically so) and they tend to happen in clusters. For the past two months, this has stuck out from the dominant media narrative. I have never had to fight the cognitive dissonance between the media and my own eyeballs in my life.

I belong to a large non-public alumni group of my residency program that has literally thousands of IM docs all over America. The first thing a scientist does is to confirm that your observations are general or something you are just seeing. It was quickly obvious from that group that I was far from alone despite the “minimal breakthrough cases” media narrative.

So, then you do everything you can to hypothesize reasons why you are seeing what you are. I have been a physician for 30 years and that experience plays a huge role as well. Having this gigantic number of breakthrough cases just simply does not happen. I continue to see more than half the cases in vaccinated patients and so do many others. UNHEARD OF IN VACCINES BEFORE NOW.

Part of hypothesizing why is looking to the literature for evidence. Seldom is this found in RCT at this stage. Case reports and series like this paper are critical. They are seeing the same breakthrough ratio. And they have done a lot more viral research than you can. This is a gold mine for my own questions.

Is there anything in the paper that could possibly explain what I am seeing. Lots of times, it is not in the headline part but in all the test results and discussion. And yes, there is a very important finding deep in the results.

Why would clustering and sicker patients be so much more common in the breakthrough patients – there must be a reason for that?

If you look at the brief discussion of cT or cycle threshold you will see that the vaccinated patients have a SIGNIFICANTLY lower cT than the unvaccinated. That is the way the PCR test works. It basically means the vaccinated have a much higher amount of viral active particles than the unvaccinated. That would account for the breakthroughs I and my colleagues are seeing being a bit more ill. And it would explain the clustering. THe vaccinated breakthroughs have much higher viral load so they are much more contagious and the higher viral load makes them more symptomatic.

So we now have a suggestion and strong evidence that the vaccinated population may be spreading much more virus than the unvaccinated. I would say that is a critical public health issue and must be further researched immediately.

This Certainly needs much more work. THis is not confirmatory of any conclusions. But it is consistent with observation on the ground – unlike most of what the media has been spewing to the American people. But this is how science works. This paper is about the gamma variant but a conference yesterday with experts discussed that similar findings were being found in delta and lambda. The suggestion in this paper is now on the front of my mind. I am even now thinking of ways to confirm or falsify these conclusions going forward. This is science.

Another issue. The writers make the point that the breakthrough rate is extremely divergent from the expected rate. The difference is this paper documents what is happening in REAL LIFE. So much of what we are hearing on our media about vaccine efficacy is research being done in vitro. It is presented as gospel truth. I just want to scream.

I am doing great and thanks for all the kind words. More about my week later. The commenters here are the best in the internet and I so appreciate my time here."

Comment by Almost Missouri, in a Sailer piece, referring to a chicken disease.  From Wikipedia (my emphasis in red):
"Before the development of the vaccine for Marek's disease, Marek's disease caused substantial revenue loss in the poultry industries of the United States and the United Kingdom. The vaccine can be administered to one-day-old chicks through subcutaneous inoculation or by in ovo vaccination when the eggs are transferred from the incubator to the hatcher. In ovo vaccination is the preferred method, as it does not require handling of the chicks and can be done rapidly by automated methods. Immunity develops within two weeks.[4]

Because vaccination does not prevent infection with the virus, Marek's is still transmissible from vaccinated flocks to other birds, including the wild bird population. The first Marek's disease vaccine was introduced in 1970. The disease would cause mild paralysis, with the only identifiable lesions being in neural tissue. Mortality of chickens infected with Marek's disease was quite low. Decades after the first vaccine was introduced, current strains of Marek virus cause lymphoma formation on throughout the chicken's body and mortality rates have reached 100% in unvaccinated chickens. The Marek's disease vaccine is a leaky vaccine, which means that only the symptoms of the disease are prevented.[12] Infection of the host and the transmission of the virus are not inhibited by the vaccine. This contrasts with most other vaccines, where infection of the host is prevented. Under normal conditions, highly virulent strains of the virus are not selected. A highly virulent strain would kill the host before the virus would have an opportunity to transmit to other potential hosts and replicate. Thus, less virulent strains are selected. These strains are virulent enough to induce symptoms but not enough to kill the host, allowing further transmission. However, the leaky vaccine changes this evolutionary pressure and permits the evolution of highly virulent strains.[13] The vaccine's inability to prevent infection and transmission allows the spread of highly virulent strains among vaccinated chickens. The fitness of the more virulent strains is increased by the vaccine.

The evolution of Marek's disease due to vaccination has had a profound effect on the poultry industry. All chickens across the globe are now vaccinated against Marek's disease (birds hatched in private flocks for laying or exhibition are rarely vaccinated). Highly virulent strains have been selected to the point that any chicken that is unvaccinated will die if infected.[citation needed] Other leaky vaccines are commonly used in agriculture. One vaccine in particular is the vaccine for avian influenza. Leaky vaccine use for avian influenza can select for virulent strains.[14]"

"When the Only Choice is Kosher-Certified, and You Object: A Layman’s Glance at Legal Recourse" (KosChertified).  The absence of a kosher 'bug' should be a selling point.  It is a mark of inferiority of product, for which, to add injury to insult, you are required to pay.

"MBS and MBZ fight for scraps after Trump and Netanyahu's exit" (Hearst).  It is almost as if the single greatest US President, President Kushner, didn't exist.

"Wake up, America: The world just isn’t that into you" (Spengler).

Because, I guess, the US is obviously doing so much better these days than China!:  tweet (Zaid Jilani):
"One asset that the United States has that China doesn't is that the United States embraces immigration. China issued 1,500 permanent residency cards in 2016, America issued 1.2 million. Think about how many companies in the US are fueled by immigrants or their children."

Meat patches

I was quite shocked when I first heard of tick-transmitted allergy to meat.

"Genetically Engineered Meat Intolerance to Fight Climate Change?" (Computing Forever) (ignore the narrator's brain-dead stupidity about anthropocentric climate change).  Added:  "As Scientists Have Long Predicted, Warming Is Making Heatwaves More Deadly" (Nuccitelli).

"Alpha-gal Syndrome" (CDC).

Lyme disease seems to have escaped from a US biowarfare program.  Could 'human engineering' be behind this bizarre allergy?  If the Empire's soldiers had no issues about creating the pandemic, what else are they capable of?

One way out

"US-German Nord Stream 2 deal has a third partner" (Bhadrakumar):

"Russia wouldn’t like the Nord Stream 2 project to be explicitly linked to Moscow’s agreement with Kiev to continue to use Ukrainian territory for transportation of gas to Europe via the Soviet era pipelines. The readout nonetheless acknowledged that Putin also discussed with Merkel ‘the opportunity to extend the agreement’ with Kiev beyond the existing timeline of 2024.

Without doubt, this is the corner stone of Wednesday’s deal. The Kremlin readout is carefully worded to hint at Russia’s constructive approach apropos Merkel’s commitment to Biden that Ukraine will continue to be a beneficiary of Russian gas supplies and transit fee beyond 2024.

Call this an ‘assurance’ or ‘guarantee’ or ‘understanding’ or whatever, but Putin has put in place the necessary underpinning for Wednesday’s deal. This is also an incredible feat of Russian diplomacy. Moscow achieves three things here.

First, Putin’s willingness to extend the agreement beyond 2024 with Ukraine is a gesture to Merkel personally for ending the controversy over Nord Stream 2 while she is still Germany’s chancellor. Putin is also aware of Germany’s predicament vis-a-vis Ukraine, which of course is not in Russia’s interests, as Berlin remains a sobering influence on Kiev for keeping the Minsk Agreements alive.

Second, the Russian assurance at the highest level as regards the upcoming negotiation of the agreement between Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukraine becomes a confidence-building measure regionally insofar as Russia’s strategic interests lie in strengthening its profile and credentials as a reliable source of energy.

In fact, a window of opportunity is open for Russia to continue supplying gas to Poland what with Denmark’s latest decision to withdraw a permit for the Danish section of the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline from Poland to Norway, which Warsaw was banking on to shift away from dependence on Russian gas. read more

Equally, Russia’s constructive approach to helping Ukraine enhances its image in the European perceptions. This could have fallouts not only for future gas contract negotiations with Europe but also on Moscow’s ambitious plan of construction of an energy bridge linking any future nuclear production in the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad with the EU electricity market.

Third, the gas supplies from Russia and the transit fee Kiev earns annually from Gazprom is vital for Ukraine’s economy. Washington keeps talking about Ukraine’s so-called energy transition (switch to renewable energy, development of hydrogen, increased energy efficiency, weaning away from coal, carbon neutrality, etc.) but that is a long haul and the regime’s record on reform in general doesn’t inspire confidence.

In political terms, therefore, Putin takes the long view that Ukraine will ultimately see the merits of friendly partnership with Russia, given the realities of geography and history. And in the Russian toolbox, energy is a valuable asset to develop relations with Ukraine."

I have to assume the semi-conciliatory outreach to Ukraine by Putin fits into this diplomatic plan.  It does Russia no good to watch Ukraine continue to slide into being more of a failed state.  The Empire, in this case fronted by The Devil Herself, Nudelman-Kagan (who obviously has only one loyalty, and it is not to the Empire or Ukraine, and in fact inclines to WWIII fought on Ukrainian territory!), has been trying to goad an increasingly decrepit Ukraine into increasingly volatile behavior.  It stops, or Ukraine is facing complete ruination.  While I'd like to see it (minus the repercussions), just imagine if Canada started treating the US as Ukraine treats Russia.  It's nuts.

Basically, the Empire and Europe are dead ends for Ukraine.  History and geography won't be mocked.  Give up on Crimea (the people of which would never agree to a return to Ukraine), let them have their water supplies, set out to determine the terms of a federal agreement to get eastern Ukraine back, and stop prodding the bear.  It is quite simple.  Oh, and, as difficult as it may be, get the neo-Nazis out of government and the military (this is a start).

Visible identity

"Liquid Modernity" (Crooke):

"Wokeism radically challenges the system: “‘You’ have not succeeded by your own efforts, or merits. You have succeeded by virtue of your visible identity alone. That identity reaches back hundreds of years, and precisely rests on opportunities deliberately denied to others. Therefore any semblance of success you have had in life – is illegitimate. It is not deserved. And it is right to take it from you. Wokeism is truly hostile to history, culture and tradition. They don’t respect it – and they insist they are right. It is not up for debate”."

It is lucky for the 1% that the woke picked just the right political position that turns everything on the 'identities' of race (which doesn't exist) and gender (which doesn't exist, or is at least 'fluid'), and missed class altogether, leaving Bezos/Gates/Soros, etc. completely safe.  Any redistribution is to take place amongst the 90%, moving wealth from the privileged majority - and 'privilege' turns completely on racial/gender identity - to the unprivileged racial/gender minorities, meaning, for example, that moving wealth from a poor white man to a rich black woman is perfectly acceptable, indeed, necessary.  The woke are such nihilists that they don't really care what happens to the redistributed wealth (they assume they won't see any of it), and are much more interested in punishing the 'privileged' by taking that wealth from them.

Waiting for magic

Thread by Abraham Gutman on the revelation from the Israeli reaction to the Ben & Jerry's withdrawal from the Occupied Territories that the Zionists - at least the self-proclaimed 'liberal' Zionists - really were fooling us by holding up the two-state solution as a possibility (in order to buy them time to kill people and steal their land).

"The Israeli left didn't earn the benefit of having the international community sit back and wait for it to do its magic."

Filibuster

Tweet (David Dayen):

""A prominent Democrat had had meetings with both President Biden and West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, and came away with a surprising conclusion: that Manchin was ultimately OK with ending the filibuster, but that Biden was determined to keep it.""

Nothing in the universe is more obvious.  The amount of rationalization by Democrats to fit into the do-nothing conspiracy which allows them to fail to keep any progressive promises is both impressive and frightening.

Death by stoning

"Why is the USDA Buying $40 Million Worth of Pistachios?" (Nosowitz).  "Meet the California Couple Who Uses More Water Than Every Home in Los Angeles Combined" (Harkinson) (note the Ellsberg part of the story).  "Asleep at the Wheel of a Bulldozer" (Klott):

"The Resnicks are bonafide “limousine liberals.” The cocktail parties at their garish 25,000 square foot Beverly Hills mansion are attended by the likes of Feinstein, the Clintons, Arianna Huffington, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.

Despite their progressive leanings and allegiances, the Resnicks are trustees for the always-hawkish Washington Institute for Near East Policy, high profile donors for the American Jewish Committee, and in Stewart’s case, a board member of the Mossad-aligned Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. These sorts of affiliations align more with John McCain than suitors of the Clintons.

What could possibly make bleeding-heart liberals like the Resnicks break bread with hardline neocons?

In 1979 shortly after the Resnicks made their foray into agriculture, Jimmy Carter enacted a full trade embargo on Iran as a response to the Iranian Hostage Crisis. At the time, Iran was overwhelmingly the largest producer and exporter of pistachios and one of the sole net exporters of pomegranates and almonds in the world.

Yasha Levina distills it nicely in his seminal article “A Journey Through Oligarch Valley”:

Economic sanctions (on Iran) are what have allowed the Resnicks to create their pistachio empire, which would suffer a severe blow if relations with Iran were ever normalized. Iran’s pistachios are considered to be superior to America’s, so much so that Israelis still buy Iranian pistachios shipped in through Turkey. Surely the Resnicks would never be able to compete with Iran on the pistachio free market.
And so the Resnicks did what any smart and ruthless American would do: they made common cause with oil companies, islamophobes, neocons and Likudniks, and began funneling money to think tanks and political advocacy groups that take a hardline approach with Iran. Economic sanctions, sabotage, vilification–all these things worked in the Resnicks’ interest. Bombing some of Iran’s pistachio fields wouldn’t be so bad, either…
In another glaring show of support for their greatest ally, Israelis (top ranking pistachio consumers in the world per capita) refuse to eat paltry American pistachios. Instead, they buy Iranian pistachios repackaged through Turkey to avoid American sanctions that Israeli interest groups lobby every American president to renew."

"Why Ben & Jerry's decision scares the fudge out of Israel's leaders" (Cafiero).

"Jewish court sentences dog to death by stoning":

"A Jerusalem rabbinical court condemned to death by stoning a dog it suspects is the reincarnation of a secular lawyer who insulted the court's judges 20 years ago, Ynet website reported Friday.

According to Ynet, the large dog made its way into the Monetary Affairs Court in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighbourhood of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem, frightening judges and plaintiffs.

Despite attempts to drive the dog out of the court, the hound refused to leave the premises.

One of the sitting judges then recalled a curse the court had passed down upon a secular lawyer who had insulted the judges two decades previously.

Their preferred divine retribution was for the lawyer's spirit to move into the body of a dog, an animal considered impure by traditional Judaism.

Clearly still offended, one of the judges sentenced the animal to death by stoning by local children.

The canine target, however, managed to escape."

Ice cream and spyware

"U.S. Takes Down Israeli Spy Software Company" (Moon).  Combine that with the Unilever ice cream decision - which wouldn't have happened without government pre-approval - and you start to see that the (((Khabinet))) is trying to rein in the worst excesses of the Khazars in Israel, and in particular the settler nonsense.  Don't get me wrong, (((they))) still fully support killing Palestinians and stealing their land, but (((they))) don't want the most obviously indefensible actions to interfere with the bigger Project of Greater Israel.  It is painful to have to justify something like the spring slaughter of caged children in Gaza to the few gentiles they are forced to talk to, and BLM complaints hang like an ongoing danger over both the Project, and the coherence of Democrat politics.

How The World Works

"The National Security Disaster You Probably Missed Last Week" (Kaplan).  I dunno, more power and wealth for Silicon Valley does not sound like a good thing.

Kagan herself was an obvious Khazar nepotism appointment, both at the Supreme Court and at Harvard, so this is a superb example of How The World Works.  So khorrupt!

"Biden Doubles Down on Voters" (Giraldi).

"Canadian veterans pay out of pocket to rescue their Afghan comrades ‘stranded’ in war zone: ‘It’s the right thing to do’" (Keung).  You have to wonder where the Canadian government is.

After they just finished supposedly patching things up with Jordan:  "Israel’s PM backtracks after claiming Jews had ‘freedom to worship’ at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount where only Muslims can pray".

The cover-up continues beyond the 'grave':  "The Jeffrey Epstein Cover Up: Pedophilia, Lies, and Videotape" (Bryant).

A conspicuously white man

"When the CIA Kills Americans" (Gonzalez).  A tale well told from the 80s on the War On Drugs and the CIA in Mexico.

An ice cream surprise

Statement.  Doesn't apply until the end of 2022, and still selling in Israel, but the big thing is they say it is inconsistent with their 'values' to sell in the Occupied Territories.

Dead hooker problem

Comment by JohnnyWalker123 to a rare Sailer posting on the JQ (and, presumably, the use of covert surveillance to obtain political blackmail material).  That comment should replace the political science books in all Western countries.

PCR truther

Faced with yet another example of devastatingly awful news for (((Biden's teleprompter))), Marshall has suddenly become a PCR truther:  "The Uncanny Delta Wave".

Three degenerates

"“Trans” Is Bankrolled By Three Degenerate Jewish Billionaires" ('Hunter Wallace').  Jennifer Pritzker, Jon Stryker, George Soros.  The biggest Khazar discovery of all time is just how easy and relatively inexpensively you can control the entire intelligentsiya/nomenklatura.

"Do Students in the U.S. Have a Constitutional Right NOT to Be ‘Captive Audiences’ to Left-Wing Ideology?" (Bridge).  This is going to do wonders for charter schools, and thus will drain even more funding away from public education, just as planned.

Maybe it is just the wicked sites I read, but I would have said the opposite, a relatively small, um, insurrection, already largely over, but blown up out of all proportion by 'journalists' promoting Helter Skelter at home:  "Nothing is Happening in South Africa (Just Devastation)" (Cochrane).

Ali Abunimah tweets on the NCO Group.  It is odd that this story has come back to life.

Green Left Canada

"Green Left Canada - A New Eco-Socialist Organization Building on the Momentum of Dimitri Lascaris’ 2020 GPC Campaign".  "Announcing the Launch of Green Left Canada" (Lascaris).  Green Left.

So the party has split into pro- and anti-genocide wings, with the (((donors))) circling the wagons around ultra-promotion of the slaughter of Palestinians, though you would never know about the split from this article:  "Green party to cancel vote to oust Leader Annamie Paul: sources" (Ballingall).

The new party is an exciting development as long as they can keep the (((donors))) at bay.

That’s a ‘Lousy’ Wine

"Chinese Media Coverage, Biowarfare, and My Covid EBook" (Unz):

"Another interesting fact discussed in my new article was the professional background and activities of a certain Robert P. Kadlec. From the late 1990s onward, Kadlec had become one of America’s leading military experts on biological warfare, with his major writings promoting biowarfare as a powerful technique for severely damaging the economy of a geopolitical adversary, but doing so while retaining “plausible deniability” since the diseases could not easily be proven as man-made rather than natural in origin.

After serving as a top biowarfare expert in the Bush Administration, he had more recently been brought back into government as an Assistant Secretary under Trump in 2017. The following year, the Chinese economy began suffering sudden viral epidemics, which severely damaged its important poultry and pork industries, and the Covid virus that mysteriously appeared in Wuhan in late 2019 shared similar characteristics:
[D]uring the previous two years, the Chinese economy had already suffered serious blows from other mysterious new diseases, although these had targeted farm animals rather than people. During 2018 a new Avian Flu virus had swept the country, eliminating large portions of China’s poultry industry, and during 2019 the Swine Flu viral epidemic had devastated China’s pig farms, destroying 40% of the nation’s primary domestic source of meat, with widespread claims that the latter disease was being spread by mysterious small drones…So for three years in a row, China had been severely impacted by strange new viral diseases, though only the most recent had been deadly to humans. This evidence was merely circumstantial, but the pattern seemed highly suspicious.
Furthermore, the particular features of Covid itself seem to fall into this same category. Early last year, we published the perspective of a retired forty-year veteran of American biodefense, who focused on the unusual epidemiological characteristics of the virus, which was extremely contagious but had a low fatality rate of 1% or less. As I summarized his analysis:
One important point he made was that high lethality was often counter-productive in a bioweapon since debilitating or hospitalizing large numbers of individuals may impose far greater economic costs on a country than a biological agent which simply inflicts an equal number of deaths. In his words “a high communicability, low lethality disease is perfect for ruining an economy,” suggesting that the apparent characteristics of the coronavirus were close to optimal in this regard.
According to a long article in the New York Times, from January to August 2019 Kadlec had run an important American simulation-exercise called “Crimson Contagion,” in which a large group of federal and state officials dealt with the consequences of the sudden appearance of a deadly respiratory viral epidemic in China, seeking to protect America from any spread into our own society. And two months after one of America’s leading biowarfare experts had wrapped up that national practice drill, a viral disease of exactly those characteristics suddenly and mysteriously appeared in the city of Wuhan, surely a coincidence that many might find quite troubling.

If a business enterprise in serious financial difficulty suddenly doubles its fire insurance and a couple of months later its main factory burns to the ground, the insurance adjusters would naturally turn a suspicious eye to the circumstances.

We should also hardly be surprised that the Wikipedia page for Kadlec heavily whitewashes his background, making absolutely no mention of his extensive writings on the effectiveness and strategy of offensive biowarfare."
For what it is worth, the Wikipedia article on Kadlec is basically a list of various forms of wrongdoing, though offing 600,000-1,000,000, and counting, Americans would probably trump all that.  WikiSpooks:
"Kadlec is part of a tight-knit group of “bioterror alarmists” in government and the private sector who gained prominence thanks to their eagerness for imagining the most horrific, yet fictitious scenarios that inspired fear among Presidents, top politicians and the American public[6], including Dark Winter and Crimson Contagion. Kadlec’s doomsday speculations about biological weapons attacks soon caught the attention of Randall Larsen, the then-director of the National War College’s Department of Military Strategy and Operations, who hired Kadlec because he “had become convinced that the most serious threat to national security was not Russian or Chinese missiles, but a pandemic."

In 1995, Kadlec detailed several “illustrative scenarios” regarding the use of “biological economic warfare” against the United States. One of these fictional scenarios, titled “Corn Terrorism,” involves China planning “an act of agricultural terrorism” by clandestinely spraying corn seed blight over the Midwest using commercial airliners. Another scenario, entitled “That’s a ‘Lousy’ Wine,” involves “disgruntled European winemakers” covertly releasing grape lice they have hidden in cans of paté to target California wine producers."[7]"
"HHS taps Kadlec to run department’s coronavirus response" (Cancryn) (April 2 2020, and already up to the staggering number of six deaths!):
"The new structure comes as the Trump administration races to head off a rapid increase in confirmed cases over the last 48 hours affecting dozens across the country and killing six to date."
